Vehicle Detail
Muscle Car era car meet Station Wagon! I'm the 3rd owner of this car (to my knowledge) and am looking for a new home for someone new to enjoy this beast (in size) of a machine! Selling my 1974 Ford Gran Torino Station Wagon. It's a Marlyand-local machine. The Torino has been kept outdoors since I've owned it (in 2008). 113K original miles on the original 302cu. in. V8 motor. It's needed minimal service and repairs in my ownership. It's received a new battery (2015) new coolant hoses (2010), master cylinder (2009), power steering hose and new front brake lines, plus oil changes. Biggest change was a new timing chain and gear set. I opted for a gear set for a 1960's 302 for a metal gear and chain (vs the nylon set). The car starts, idles, moves and stops on its own. It's been sitting for about a year, so while it moves, I wouldn't recommend driving it home without a shake-down and inspection of everything. Paint is all-original, with the exception of the front nose. My brother owned this car before, and was in a small front end accident that required body work and respray of the front nose. Aftermarket chrome bumpers were also added both front and rear as well. Interior is all original to my understanding. Seats have no tears or scratches. Dashboard has heat cracks from its life outside. Carpet and door panels have standard wear marks and blemishes for a vehicle of this age. Body has typical east-coast rust throughout, but focused around the rear windows. Cool Factor. Dual Action Tailgate. Don't let Honda take the credit, Ford did it first! This Torino features a dual-action tailgate and power window (and still works!). Use the exterior handle to open the rear as a traditional door. Roll down the rear window and open via the tailgate handle to fold down like tailgate. Car will old twin mattresses and drywall no problem (I've done it!). And NO - it does not have a rear-facing back seat. Car does have A/C, but does not work. Torino also has Flowmaster mufflers for a deep exhaust sound. The 302 is connected to a Ford 3-speed automatic transmission. And finally, the car is sitting on OEM Magnum 500 wheels and on CobraJet 429 front springs. This thing has turned heads and car shows, cruising around town. It's big, green and puts a smile on your face. Transaction notes:A $500 deposit is required within 24 hours of auction end.
