This is an all original, garage kept example of the last year classic body style Lincoln. This car was purchased new in September, 1997, by a retired aircraft technician, it was labeled the "trip car", used mainly for traveling. This car drives, handles and rides as new. Every accessory functions properly. The air conditioning blows cold. The leather is supple and smooth, care was taken to keep the interior out of the sun. This is a non-smoker car. There are no mysterious stains, nor odors inside. The headliner is excellent. The armrests have no wear. The carpeting is clean as are the mats. All of the gaskets, weatherstripping, leather, and even the leather wrapped steering wheel are supple. All of the power accessories are functional and the air conditioning blows cold. The digital display is clear and works excellent. The mpg is currently around 19 mpg. The mileage is currently at only 49,694. In 2009, ownership was transferred to the executor of the original owner's estate, his daughter. Unfortunately, the DMV made a clerical error and entered the odometer reading of the other vehicle to this one (86K). This shows on the Carfax Vehicle History Report. The history report's most recent reading prior was 42K, then 48K afterwards. Nevertheless it should have read "exempt" as it does now, due to the vehicle being over 10 years old. Ownership was then transferred to the son in 2011. Under the hood is the stout and reliable 4.6 Liter V8, rated at 210 horsepower & 260 ft-lbs of torque. The engine compartment is very clean and detailed. This is a smooth running powerplant that has received regular maintenance. It looks brand new under here, what a great Lincoln. These are becoming appreciating collectibles. Get yours while you still can before prices go up. The Light Cypress Metallic paint is very classy. The original clearcoat shines brilliantly, no fine car wash scratches - beautiful under the fluorescent lights in my garage. The body panels line up excellent, vin stamps on all. There are no signs of any paintwork. The factory alloy wheels still had the original 1997 DOT date coded tires (still rode great!), I had these new tires installed last week for reliability but retained the originals if the new owner would like them. The original spare tire and jacking equipment are undisturbed. This car has the keyless entry pad as well as both factory remotes that can be programmed with the memory seats. The headlamp lenses are clear. All of the glass is original FoMoCo The trunk is clean and detailed, the original spare tire/wheel and jacking equipment in place. The trunk lining shows as new.
