Vehicle Detail
1969 Honda Z50 KO fully restored by previous owner using new or quality used Honda OEM parts. The frame has been powder coated. The inside of gas tank has been coated. Paint is original Honda Mexican Yellow. Some of the aluminum parts have been polished. I bought this bike several years ago to add to my collection. It has been stored inside my den or in my garage while I have owned it. It was last ridden 3 years ago then it was parked and the gas was drained. I have recently added new gas and the bike started right up. The engine runs, idles and shifts through all 3 gears well. Due to the length of time it has been sitting it will need an oil change, and likely a new 6V battery. The headlight is very dim when engine is running. I would not say the bike is a show quality restoration but it is extremely close (see pictures). The bike does not have a title. EBAY makes you select a Title Type and I selected Salvage but in reality it does not have a Title. I will include a bill of sale with purchase. Buyer shall arrange shipping. Sadly life’s priorities require me to downsize my collection. Payment only through Certified Check , will not accept payment through Paypal. Payment shall be received within 10 days after sale. Low reserve. On May-23-16 at 22:47:33 PDT, seller added the following information: I am told by the Honda Z50 Mini Trail experts with a keen eye on Ebay that this is in fact a 1969-70 Honda Z50 K1 instead of a Z50 K0 as the title says. The Z50 K1 had lights and the Z50 K0 did not. I am also told that the taillight bracket is from a Z50K2. During these years (1969-1971) Honda transitioned some of their bikes mid year and went ahead and put some of the newer components (such as taillight bracket or different frame mount for rear fender) on them. This could mean either that is was a transition bike or it simply has a newer taillight bracket now than when it was manufactured. At any case the experts have told me that this a fine example of an early Honda Z50 K1.
