This all original 1971 Mercury Cougar XR-7 Convertible is a perfect summer project. This car is mechanically sound with its 351 Cleveland engine with the 2V heads and a C6 automatic transmission. The floors and trunk are both solid and the body is straight. The car also has power disc brakes in the front with drum in the back. The sequential lighting works, and the A/C has the original R-12 system that works and blows cold. The car still has all its original stickers, emblems and moldings. The hydraulic top works, and has a glass rear windshield. It was a daily driver until the top ripped and was then garaged. This car only needs cosmetic work to be perfect.
