I have yet to sell a car to someone who has written me a late evening text asking me what is the least I will take if they bring cash. Whether you bring a paper bag full of $100.00 bills or a cashiers check I put it all in the same bank account. If you are only interested in the cheapest car anywhere then my inventory probably isn't for you. My cars don't have salvage titles and have to be in great shape for me to purchase them in the first place. On every car there is a $500.00 deposit due immediately upon close of the auction. I do not charge any BS documentation, dealer prep, or handling fees etc. I have to collect a small (.002072) inventory tax Texas levies on all sales and state sales tax of 6.25% if you live in Texas. If you are another dealer, or you are going to have your "cousin" the dealer buy my car there is no sales tax but Texas still collects the inventory tax. A little about me....I'm a retired Olds/Cadillac/GMC truck dealer. I'm also a professional pilot by trade. I will not sell or advertise a car I wouldn't drive myself. I do not personally provide financing (in other words I don't get in the middle trying to make money on your interest rate) but I work with a financial institution that offers rates below 2% for those who qualify. Having said that, I won't sell any of my inventory for less than what it will bring at a dealer only auto auction. No amount of emailing (particularly snarky or nasty ones) will convince me otherwise. What I can promise you is I will sell you the car for less than any other seller if compare apples to apples. I can't compete with cars that have a salvage title, or accidents on their Car Fax. I don't handle those vehicles. Check out Kelly Bluebook, private party pricing. You will find it is a lot less than normal retail. I'm usually at or even a bit under that number. The vehicle is in very, very nice condition.
