This Galaxie is set up to mimic a Super Stock but be a great cruiser and 100% reliable.Built to be a driver.A great deal of work was done to the suspension. Special made expensive Eaton springs"more leafs"patterned after the 63-64 Galaxie were built and installed.The front Eaton coils were specified 25% greater spring rate and 1 inch higher.Coupled with Quickor Engineering front and rear sway bars,and gas-matic shocks make this car handle extremely well.Not like the land barges most were.A new front suspension kit and idler arm was installed along with new steering coupler really helped tighten everything up.Steering is manual but very precise.Goes down the road straight and true.Suspension is tight but not harsh.*********The motor is a fresh 427 side oiler with low riser heads,dual carbs,and a nice lopy solid lifter cam.Motor is 450+HP with dyno sheet to back it up.Has that nice deep rumble that only a big block solid lifter motor can produce.Exhaust flows through Crites headers and a full 2.5" exhaust with custom cutouts for fun.Coupled with a new TKO 600 5 speed from American Power Train running through a Quicktime bell and Mcleod clutch and pressure plate to a Ford 9 inch with a Detroit locker posi unit with 3.89 gears make this car a screamer through the first 4 gears but still can cruise at 70 MPH at 2150 RPM`S in overdrive.You get the best of both worlds.This car loves the freeway!********The car itself came from Denver,Colorado and is absolutely rust free.All original steel.It started life as a stripped down 6 cylinder,3 speed,radio and clock delete.The base model was the lightest of the Galaxie group so they were logical choice for drag racing.This car get lots of attention at car shows especially when you raise the hood and the 427 side oiler is exposed.The color combo is a real eye catcher and the interior is immaculate.Everything works on the car down to the cigarette lighter,lights,horn,wipers,etc.If it is cold the heater and def work as well.I know this car does not have a radio but the music coming from the solid lifter 427 going through the gears is all the music a guy needs.*******Other items done:new windshield,new seat covers,new headliner,new blower motor,new trunk mat,new Stewart-Warner period correct oil & water gauges,new carpet,new color keyed seat belts,new package tray,new turn signal switch & cancelling arm,new front shocks,new Gabriel rear gas shocks,clutch Z bar rebuild kit,new emergency brake cable,MSD distributor and 6AL box,new drive shaft,NOS radiator fan shroud,new 4 core radiator"Griffrin"very expensive,never gets above 180 degrees,SSBC front discs and master cylinder with prop valve,new 2.5" rear drums,components and backing plates,new trunk mounted battery with disconnect switch,new Crites front & rear bumpers,Crites fiberglass teardrop hood,complete exhaust with Flow Master mufflers with turn down tips at the rear,new Quickor Engineering front and rear sway bars.1.25"front,7/8" rear,new BF Goodrich TA front and rear tires,front wheels are 6" and rears are custom Wheel Vintiques 8" steel,new period correct Tachometer,63-64 period correct baldy valve covers & air cleaner,and 427 fender emblems. Tons of paperwork and receipts go with the car.The paint would be the only exception if you are super picky.Ten feet away it is a 10.Up close it is a 8.All chrome and stainless is in great condition. *********Reason for selling..........I`m 74 years old and this car might be a little too much for me.Being sold AS-IS.
