Serial number 183635004816. Mileage is 256,655 and was a member of the old Volvo High Mileage Club complete with mileage rounders and paperwork. Bought new in Columbia, SC where it has remained until I purchased from my former neighbor who owned it since 1980. He purchased from original owner. I have a clear South Carolina title in my name. Original color is dark green with tan interior. Repainted about 20 years ago in original color. Has its original air conditioning system though not working due to frozen idler pulley and compressor oil leak. All lights and electrics work including overdrive. Speedometer drive on gearbox is defective and at about 50, needle bounces between 100 and lower numbers. Still has its original fuel injection. The hood is off of the car and at a local body shop investigating the broken from hinge and torn front shround where it attaches. The rear Volvo badge is missing also. Rust. Yes that important word. This car continues to soldier on like a bulldog getting to the food bowl but it is known that at some point you will want to address the floors, sills and box sections. The owner of the local body shop, Dennis, who I've known since the 80's just couldn't get over how stylish this car is. He has been the local Porsche expert for 40 years and has a '69 Yenko SC to look at along with the usual 911's. This car really made an impression on him even in its tatty shape.
