You will not find a cleaner steel frame Cr anywhere, or any bike for that matter! I just stripped it down to bare frame and had it blasted and coated the factory white. Everything was disassembled and cleaned and rebuilt and lubed. This bike was in a few magazines in 1995 since it was owned by the owner of clean suspension in Costa Mesa. Yes it used to be purple. I still have the purple plastics. When he owned it he sunk THOUSANDS of dollars into custom suspension. The front forks are anodized black and have been custom valved. These forks are better than the forks on my newer 450! The rear shock has had the shaft titanium nitrided and custom valved with an eibach spring. And it's currently registered and I have a current great sticker for it! That means you can ride this beast year around!
