2000 JEEP CHEROKEE 4.0 NO RESERVE - 97 Photos Below Thanks for checking out my 2000 Jeep Cherokee Freedom Sport Edition. I got this recently from the original owner, so a true 1 owner, in great condition. They only built 2,814 Freedom models from my research, for a fairly rare Cherokee model. This one is equipped with the very desirable 4.0 High Output inline 6, these are great engines. The Cherokee style, over its run, set the benchmark for SUVs. Noted automotive journalist Robert Cumberford, writing for Automobile, called the Jeep XJ one of the 20 greatest cars of all time — for its design, and "possibly the best SUV shape of all time, it is the paradigmatic model to which other designers have since aspired" Check out the photos, there are over 100 of them below, this Cherokee is in great shape, fly in and drive it home if you like. Thanks, Jason 503-910-2085 Condition: Mechanically, this is a very nice clean 2000 Jeep Cherokee (XJ) Freedom 4 door. 4 liter inline 6 engine, with only 167,290 miles. Command trac 4-wheel drive with auto locking hubs. Air conditioning blows ICE Cold. 16” factory Jeep Ultra Star alloy wheels with matching tires all the way around, with around 50% tread on them (p225/70 R16). The engine starts right up, sounds great, and does not blow any smoke or burn oil. It is a clean unmodified 4.0 liter High Output. If you don’t know these engines, they are probably one of the best engines that Jeep ever built, many folks call them bullet proof engines. The transmission shifts great, no issues, everything seems to be in order. 4-wheel drive works great high and low. The Paint and Body are in great shape with only a few minor rock chips on front, and on top of hood. Under lights, there is a little checking in the hood from its age, but out and about, most people usually comment that know Cherokees, “Wow, nice XJ!”. The body overall is in great shape, no paint work, no accidents, super clean, and NO RUST. The under carriage is in great shape, no accidents, or rust issues. The factory flares are in good shape, but they have some of the typical discoloration over time, see photos. The Windows are free of cracks, but it has a couple small rock chips in the windshield. The Interior is in awesome condition overall, some wear on driver’s seat as you can see on the bottom cushion, easy to repair if you so choose in the future. Headliner, carpets, door panels, all look very good. It has factory AC, and it works great, I am an Air Conditioning freak, and was excited to see it as an option in this Cherokee, even better yet, when I turned it on and it blew ICE Cold. Other factory options are AM/FM Cassette, roof rack. Remote entry, power windows, power mirrors, power door locks. Tilt adjust steering wheel. The rig runs very smooth- a comfortable driver. This is a very nice 4x4, drives beautiful, someone is going to get a nice rig. It has a few flaws here and there, but overall a great rig, that you can actually drive and enjoy.
