1980 BMW R65 with custom Luftmeister fairing and Krauser hard bags. (Fairing and bags are currently off the bike). I had the bike running yesterday and even took it around the block but today I can not get it to keep running. I have only owned it a short time. I bought it for a flip. The previous owner rode it last summer and fall and put it away last winter without doing anything to the tank, gas, carbs, etc. I think it needs to have the gas drained, the carbs cleaned and synched and probably a tune-up. The transmission, clutch, brakes (both front and rear) work properly. Tires don't look too bad. The head light works (both regular and high beam) but the turn signals seem messed up; probably from having the fairing taken off of it. The exhaust and mufflers are in very good condition and the battery is only two years old. It has the original Owner's Manual and a tool kit. The bike is complete except for the side covers (battery) and a housing shroud around the tach/speedo. Two sets of keys come with the bike and the bags. I have a clear Iowa title and current registration in my name that will transfer immediately in all 50 states. I make no warranty with the bike. I've told you all I know about it as honestly as I can. Payment (Cashier's Check or USPS Money Order) is due 5 days from the end of the auction. I want the bike gone within 10 days of the end of the auction. I will help you (or your shipper) load it. Look at all the pictures and ask questions. I'll get back to you with answers. This is a no-reserve auction. High bidder owns the bike and is expected to complete the contract to pay and pick it up.
