You are bidding on a Purple 2005 Chrysler PT Cruiser with a 4-cylinder engine, hatchback, and 5-Speed manual transmission. It has a brand new CD player, all electrical components (power windows, air conditioning, etc.) are functional, the clutch is almost brand new (replaced 5/26/2015), major work on the suspension has been recently done (March 2015), and the engine was partially rebuilt at roughly 80,000 miles (2/10/2011) It has only had 2 owners (I bought it from my grandparents in 2009), and been regularly inspected and maintained. It has been well loved, but also well worn. This vehicle has a relatively large number of mild to moderate cosmetic flaws on the body, but nothing that would require very expensive body work. These include... -passenger and driver-side rear view mirrors are damaged at the base of the mounting units, and are affixed to the body with household supplies (Epoxy, Duct tape, Screws). They function normally, so this is a cosmetic issue only -There is damage to both the front and rear bumpers. On the front bumper, there is a crack that has formed into almost a full split (see picture-right side of vehicle). The back bumper, while almost complete on the exterior (there is a small hole, not aesthetically pleasing), has nothing that would allow it to be correctly mounted on the body. -The front passenger-side door is bent at the pivot point, and rust has started to form. The door is fully functional, but it presses against the front of the car as it opens, making a loud groaning sound. -There is a very small dent by the right headlight from a collision with a deer, and if you look closely there is some small rusting there. -There are a few small stains throughout the interior, and the floor underneath the steering wheel is pretty discolored. *It should be noted that I am a smoker, and while I have done everything possible to eliminate residual smell, it is possible that a smokey smell will linger.* There are also quite a few miles racked up (169,509), however there has been significant repair work done. The engine itself was partially rebuilt in 2011, and in 2015 there was major work done on the suspension, the shift cable bushings were replaced, and the clutch was replaced (including the flywheel). I also have complete service records available upon request. Shipping I will be able to have another car and driver travel with me, so I would like to work with the buyer on delivery.
