1979 Honda XL 500S This motorcycle was in excellent running condition but I had a motorcycle mechanic go through it from top to bottom. The following has been done. I used Honda OEM parts, Wiseco or EBC brakes. Honed Cylinder New WiseCo Forged Piston/RingsNew Engine gaskets and oil sealsRebuilt front forks - New sealsNew Tires/tubesNew BrakesGeneral tune up- Cleaned oil screen, cleaned and adjusted the carburetor, new spark plug, new air filter.New BatteryAdded a new OEM start/stop switch The gas tanks are original and are in excellent condition. *Has a title - (The paperwork has been filed to put the title in my name. I will have it back from the NC DOT in 2-4 weeks. I do not buy and sell cars and or motorcycles as a business) A vintage White Brothers swing arm was installed. It looks great, functions well and gives the motorcycle a great stance. I also have the original OEM swing arm. I looked for over a year and found this classic/vintage motorcycle. It runs like a top and is ready to be ridden. It is 37 years old and looks fantastic. The quality of these older Honda/Japanese motorcycles is as good as it gets.
