CALIFORNIA TRUCK..... NICE AND SOLID... it is registered and insured in my name on a clean California title. This truck was built on September 30, 1971 and sold by Sunset Ford, Westminster, Ca. on November 13, 1971. Custom metal work on the hood, cab, bed, and tailgate. The front grill has custom metal inserts, which are removable. It's a 390 V8 with 15,000 miles on it since being rebuilt at United Engine Rebuilding in Bell, California. The engine was rebuilt at 123,251 miles. This truck has been driven very little since, mostly parked with camper on the back. The carb, which is a 2bbl has been rebuilt and a new mechanical fuel pump was installed this month. The car starts, runs, drives, and stops. It is an automatic with a Cruise-O-Matic 3 speed transmission, power front disc brakes with rear drum brakes on 16 inch rims and a new power brake booster. NEW windshield with tinted glass, am/fm stereo with coaxial speakers in the doors, New black vinyl seat cover and arm rests, the dash has been covered with a faux rust surround. The vehicle has air conditioning mounted along the lower edge of the dash, but is not working, but compressor and belt is there. You will have to convert the Freon. A new FLOWMASTER muffler and a 2 1/2 inch exhaust pipe exiting in front of the passenger rear wheel was installed for a bit more attitude and there seems to be a slight leak from the manifold. It's my daily driver. If I were to keep the truck I would switch to an electronic ignition and add an electric choke to the carburetor, and repair the air conditioning. This truck starts, runs, drives and stops and gets "thumbs-up" at the traffic lights and passing traffic. Fun to drive and by the way, the metal panel over the rear sliding window is removable. The sliding window is fair condition and the mechanical mechanism that raises and lowers the passenger door window needs to be repaired or replaced.
