Those of you who know the 600sl are aware of the wiring problems associated with the 93 models. (The insulation cracks and falls off the copper, creating multiple shorts and issues.) The vehicle runs now after rebuilding the wiring harness, but has greatly reduced power and will need up to 3 computers and possibly add'l parts to run normally. Because of the high cost of parts, this car could just as easily end up either a parts car or a restore project. Not recommending driving any long distances in its current condition. However the miles are incredibly low (34,248k miles actually) and with the original sticker price at $120,000 in 1993 there is a lot to like about this roadster. Still has all of its original parts worth many thousands if it does end up parting out. Fully automatic convertible and removable hardtop, 4 wheel hydraulic suspension, no rust- Florida car originally. I've had it for 3 years now and have realized I'm not going to invest in Mercedes computers any time soon, and am too busy to part this one out. Contact me with any questions.
