Vehicle Detail
Beautiful Resto-Mod 1957 2 Door Wagon that runs and drives incredible, being offered at NO Reserve!! If you've been looking for a straight, solid Classic that handles and performs like a modern car, is dependable, fast, gets great mileage and is just a pleasure to own- this might be the car you're looking for. A great driver, never fails to turn heads and is fun to take to the local shows and cruise-nights, has won a few trophies and ribbons as well. Mileage was re-set at the completion of the restoration (late 90's) and it shows about 34,100 at the moment, it has always been garage kept and is a CA/AZ car, solid and straight. 90's Corvette LT-1 EFI Engine, 700-R 4 speed transmission, Trans Am rear end w/air shocks, Cold Air Conditioning, Power Steering, Power Seats (front seats are out of a Cadillac and rear seat upholstered to match- VERY comfy), Cruise Control, Tilt steering, Front Disc Brakes, updated suspension, front/rear sway bar kits, 20" "Jesse James 38 Special" Rims (also have a set of more original-looking Corvette Rally wheels with trim rings and caps if you'd prefer that look, and the car sits higher on those). The under-carriage looks excellent with no signs of rust (I've included a few pictures, but can email more if you'd like), older restoration, so the paint and carpet show some signs of wear (see pics). The carpet has some fading, especially in the back where the sun hits it. The paint was an ok paint job 17+ years ago, but it DOES get driven, it DOES have flaws, chips etc, but still shines very nicely and is very presentable, but if you want to show it at higher levels than the local stuff, it could use carpet and deserves a better/new paint job in my opinion, I never did it because I enjoy driving it and didn't want to worry about chipping it, etc. The front windshield was recently replaced, rear hatch glass was replaced during restoration, as was the rear side flat-glass, the rest of the glass is original and has a couple of chips in both of the rear corners and peeling along the edges, but the car comes with NEW 8-peice window-glass set (rear curved glass, side and vent windows and rear window seals, etc) if you decide to replace them some day. Also, in 1957 the car wasn't required to have seat-belts, so in AZ you don't have to install them. I have brand new sets for front and rear, but never put them in, if the laws in your state are such that you want to/need to install them, they're easy and come with what you need to do it. This wagon is just a pleasure to own and drive, all the comforts and performance of a modern vehicle in an iconic classic that gets constant thumbs-up and makes people smile wherever it goes. If you don't like attention- this is NOT the car for you! My intent was to keep this one for a while, and use it to tow my little 1957 Airstream Bubble (smallest they made, only 13' long) to shows and caravan runs, but the Bubble is still another 6 months away from being finished, and I have too many toys and real estate projects at the moment, so a few things have to go. The wagon has asked that if you live in cold country, please only bid if you have a nice warm garage- she has never seen any of that "snow" stuff and prefers to keep it that way, bidders may send pictures of garage for consideration... seriously though, this one is truly a rare beauty and deserves a great new home. Please take a look at all of the pictures, they describe it better than I can. This is an AWESOME wagon! ***You have to "Click" on the smaller picture in the upper left-hand corner in order to bring up the pictures in the Full-Size window***. ** Please feel free to contact me any time if you need any additional info, would like to come and see the car, or just have questions: 520-404-1975 cell. (Heather Anderson). I am located in Southern AZ near Fort Huachuca (about an hour SE of Tucson), right on highway 90, easy to find and the weather is GREAT this time of year. ***I am a licensed/bonded AZ auto dealer... NOT by choice, but because here in the great state of AZ if you buy/sell more than 3 vehicles (of any kind) in any 12 month period, you have to get a license. I am a classic car and Airstream nut, I also have a ranch, owned a wedding venue, horses, trailers, etc... let's just say I bought and sold a few too many for the state's liking, and due to the fact that they need revenue desperately- they decided to fine me when I sold a few more that what I'm "allowed", long story short- I jumped through all of their hoops and got my license. Full payment is due within 7 days of the auction's end, and the wagon must be picked up within 15 days of payment (unless other arrangements have been made). Certified funds, cash in person or bank wire-transfer only. Payments MUST clear before the car leaves my sight. There are no "title fees" or "doc fees" like the typical dealers have because as far as I can tell, that's just a way to get an extra couple hundred dollars from someone, here in AZ it costs me $15.00 to get a temporary registration so that a buyer can drive home legally and $4.00 for a title, I think I can handle that. Please check my feedback, you'll see that I don't sell very many vehicles (mostly Airstreams) - but I do have 100% positive feedback on what I have sold over the years. I do NOT go to auctions and buy cars to sell, anything that I have sold or will sell either belonged to me or someone that I know or is a "consignment" type of sale. I have never liked most car dealers and am not all that thrilled to be "one of them". *** This is a USED vehicle (59 years old to be exact) and is being sold as-is/where-is with no warranty expressed or implied. This wagon is in great condition, but please be realistic- READ the description, look at the pictures, and if you have questions or concerns PLEASE ask question. If you can't make it here to see it in person, please call me and I can walk around it and point out any little flaws that I notice, or things that may bother someone that you can't see easily in pictures. I would welcome and recommend that you come see it or have a 3rd party inspection. I will make it available throughout the auction for any and all inspections, just call and we'll set up a time. Please understand that the description is only my opinion, yours may be different, I have done my best to take many pictures and describe the car to the best of my ability. Just remember, we all tend to look better in pictures than in person- that's just the way it is. This Agreement shall be governed in all respects by the laws of the Great State of Arizona as they apply to agreements entered into and to be performed entirely within Arizona between Arizona residents, without regard to conflict of law provisions. You agree that any claim or dispute you may have against Ever After Ranch Motors LLC must be resolved exclusively by a state or federal court located in Cochise County, Arizona, you agree to submit to the personal jurisdiction of the courts located within Cochise County, Arizona for the purpose of litigating all such claims or disputes. *** I reserve the right to end this listing at any time for any reason as the wagon may be listed for sale locally as well.*** Payment methods accepted must be in the form of Certified funds, bank wire-transfer, or cash in person. Due to concerns of fraud, if you're paying via cashier's check, it must clear my account before the car/title leaves my sight. PLEASE NOTE: I do NOT send "Second Chance Offers"- if you get one, please report it to Ebay and do NOT respond. There is a scam going around right now that everyone should be aware of, and it involves second chance offers. Just remember, if you get any email that "says" it's from ebay, it will be in your "Ebay messages folder", if it's not there- it's probably a scam.**Taxes: Arizona Residents: Must pay Sales tax (6.1%) as we are located in Cochise County.**Any Non-Arizona Residents Using a Shipping Company: Pay No sales tax. The eBay final bid price is your price, you may have to pay taxes in your home state upon registration depending on where you live, but as long as I have a copy of a receipt/Bill of Lading from a licensed shipping company to show the state of AZ that the vehicle was picked up from me directly to be shipped out of state, you pay no tax here.**Non-Arizona (U.S) Residents Taking Delivery in Arizona: Pursuant to Arizona Revised Statute 42-5061(U), out of state buyers that take delivery in Arizona will pay sales tax according to their home state's tax rate. All customers who take delivery in Arizona will receive a receipt showing taxes paid in Arizona to avoid being double charged by their home state.
