1957 CJ-5 built to look like M38A1All lights work.(no turn signals)Has wiper motor not hooked up. Recently rebuilt transfer case and transmission( still a small leak)from what I've read hard to stop. Engine runs great. You can bump the key and go. 4wd works. Jeep runs & drives like a jeep. New lock outs, front tires, brake shoes, brake hoses, canvas top, Has canvas/metal frame doors but not new like top. Installed accessory items long and short Shovel, axe, jersey can, air pump, seat storage back packs, and ammo storage containers inside. Has fold up back seat and new front seat cushions. Speedometer works but have separate oil, water, and fuel gauge. Fuel gauge working close to backwards. May have this corrected if I come across a gauge that has right ohms as sending unit but no promises yet. Solid jeep. Under carriage is driver clean not show. Under coated floors. The Willys M38A1 or (MD) was built from 1952 until 1957 for the U.S. military forces and from 1958 until 1971 for export to foreign governments. The United States Marine Corps continued to order and use the M38A1 until 1971.
