Vehicle Detail

I had to end the last auction early, due to a miscommunication with my father. I do apologize for the inconvenience. I also wanted to completely update the listing, with everything bit of damage I have found thus far. You are bidding on a 2003 Mercedes Benz SL500. We purchased this vehicle awhile back for my father. The car was in a previous accident that bent the lower control arm, and insurance decided the car wasn't worth fixing. We purchased it from a dealer whose intention was to fix it. We towed it back to our shop and repaired the lower control arm, got it aligned. We also added aftermarket wheels and lowering links. The lowering links allows you to lower the vehicle passed what it can do from the factory. So unfortunately the title is reconditioned. It was involved in a slight accident when a woman merged into the same lane. The damage is on the right side. No air bags deployed. Everything is working as is. Engine runs fine, transmission shifts perfect. All the damages are cosmetic, the only major damage is the front right wheel, the tire came off of the rim, and is probably bad. The ABC is the hydraulic suspension, however, I started the car today, and let it fully pump it, and it has been holding it's ride height. I was able to lower and raise, and there is no indication of hydraulic fluid leaking. It also has an air bag light on now. A very common problem for these cars is the airbag in the door, while this could be the issue, but I cannot say it is for sure. As far as the damage, all damage is on the FRONT RIGHT (passenger side). The quarter panel has light scuffing, the access cover in the lower rocker panel is missing. The head light has a broken bracket (the one that holds it to the fender. Bracket is there, so you might able to use epoxy to hold it together), fender must be replaced, front bumper is split right by the area that it bolts to the fender. Personally I would replace it, but a very good body man might be able to repair it. The trim piece on the side skirt is broken, and the side view mirror is broken as well, but might possible be fixed. Though I am unsure without removing it and checking it out. We have perfect feedback, and want to keep it that way, there is nothing that I am withholding that I am aware of. You can contact me any time, via email, phone or ebay messaging. I want whoever buys this car to be completely satisfied with it. The SL500 only has 80K miles, which is super low for the age. Again, everything works on this vehicle. My father has driven it as far as Houston, and back without any issues. I myself, have also driven it to San Antonio and back. And truthfully, I wouldn't have any worries about driving it long distance. If you've done your research you will find that Mercedes' 5.0 V8 is one of the most reliable engines. Before the accident, this car had NO error codes, no check engine light, no CEL light, no air bag light. No errors from the ABC system. This car drove perfect for it's age.Again, if you have any questions feel free to contact me. The reserve is at $4500. We feel that is a fair price, because our body shop estimated on repairs (with used parts) would be close to $2500.00 For for $7000, you would have a car still worth way over that in KBB. The biggest reason why my father won't keep the car, is because he got himself into a 2013 Nissan GTR.
