Titled as 1955 however built to 57 looks. It has the original frame with the drive train from a 1983 K5 Blazer 4x4 350 engine, Turbo 350 trans and bullet proof 205 transfer case with matching axles (307 gears I believe) and locking hubs. The truck was a frame off restoration years ago and has preserved much of its beauty. However there are some minor details that are needed to bring it back to mint condition. Some chrome shows light pitting however most all that it needs is tlc and most parts are available at LMC truck parts. The body has many new parts on bed such as fenders and tailgate and all hardware was upgraded to stainless steel. It starts and runs fine, shifts perfect and even the original tube radio works. Glass is all in great shape, interior is very clean and it even has that impossible to find working tachometer. The brakes were upgraded to the under floor Corvette master cylinder and this truck stops great. If you want a piece of history with the fun of being able to drive it anywhere this is the truck for you.( Note the air cleaner is NOT included as it belongs to another car). It has a Rochester Quadrajet 4 barrel, Rams head exhaust headers and a recent exhaust system. Also fuel tank is new under rear of bed. E brake works fine as do all gauges. Truck runs nice and cool as it should with original radiator and I added both tranny and power steering coolers. Lower crank bearings are new and it has nice normal oil pressure when driving. Truck has the MSD ignition set up that looks old school but starts every time. Go ahead and buy yourself that Christmas present you always wanted. Toys are fun! and this one is sweet. For a 60 year old truck. Now a days a 1/2 ton pick up is $40K and your lucky to get 5-6 years out of the plastic/aluminum/Chinese crap they are made from. Please email with any further questions.
