I have a 2001 ram 3500. Originally an HO 6spd truck, but now a NV4500 5spd. Repainted Black (originally Maroon) a few years ago. All four doors were replaced from AZrustfree.com as I didn't want to risk rust coming back on the front door bottoms. Bone stock till 281,000mi. In the last 3,000mi I have put in a Brand New South Bend Clutch SFI Rated 3850 Dual Disc. Plus installed the oversized Input shaft, new from SBC. New Hydros. This setup is rated for drag racing and sled pulling. Replaced the original worn out NV5600, they are far to expensive to replace and hard to get good parts for. The NV4500 is everywhere and can be rebuilt much easier. New 33in BFG Mud Terrains up front, rears are 60-70%. New Windshield. Smarty tuner. Flo Pro Exhaust with 7in Stainless stack. In the last 1,500mi I put in a Brand New Factory Bosch SO Injection Pump (not a reman unit). Brand New FASS 150gph fuel pump. FASS Draw Straw. I have new in the box ARP425s, need installed but included. Brand New Batteries beginning of October. Dana 60 front, 80 rear. Factory 4.10s truck. Rare rear disc brakes. Has been in the family last 6 or 7 years now, first 3yrs my dad had it. I had plans to make a solid performing 600hp truck so I wanted to start with a good foundation. Fuel system is good to go now and so is the trans. Simply install the head studs and pick a good turbo/injector combo and your ready to rock. Drives good, fresh ball joints and steering box. Rear bumper is off but I have it, was going to do roll pan and square tube sled stops. Pass bed side needs rewelded in the rear, stretched it out moving round bales in the bed. The 4 doors were completely stripped and painted. Injection Pump came from Diesel Auto Power, FASS from Rolling Smoke Diesel, and clutch came Directly from South Bend Clutch as I live 30min away. There is also an ISSPRO Fuel Pressure gauge under the dash.
