My toy is now up for sale. Wife says it goes or I do, and well you know, there are things that this Jeep just can't do(mhmmmm) and I would like to keep my wife. Kids are coming of driving age, and as my wife puts it, this jeep is a BEAST! There is too much power for starter drivers like my children and they both want my Jeep. So here it is.... It is a 1980 CJ5 Jeep 4x4. It has a 302 HO fuel injected engine with about 40000 miles on it out of a 1988 Ford Mustang GT. It still has the mustang headers and 2 1/2in exhaust out the rear. It also has a 4in suspension lift with rancho springs and tilt wheel with power steering. Body and interior is in great shape 4x4 works as it should and it has almost new 33x12.50x15 tires on chrome steel wheels. Transmission is a T176 4 speed that has been completely rebuilt and a Dana 300 2 stick transfer case. It has a bikini top on it and has a complete soft top but the doors have cracks in the plastic. I just drive it during the summer so the top has been in storage for years and I'm not sure of the shape but it was fine when I put it in there but all of the hardware is there and a new soft top is only a couple of hundred bucks since the hardware is good. The engine was put in the jeep in 1990 and has not gave me any problems and as you can imagine it runs excellent and gets around 20mpg on the highway. It has spent most of its life in storage therefore the low mileage. (84524 actual) Jeep started life with a 304 3 speed 331 gears. (The reason the 302 got installed was my x-wife didn't notice the oil line on the pressure gauge came apart with oil running in the floorboard ???? and it destroyed the original engine) I will not accept Pay-Pal due to them holding our money what seems like forever. I am selling as is with no warranty. It is up to the buyer to work out the shipping I will help load it or you can drive it home.
