Up for sale is my 1966 Pontiac Catalina Resto Mod. This car is truly one of a kind and you will not find a better example ANYWHERE! This car will start and run anytime/anywhere and is kept garaged and covered. I hate to sell it but we must make room (and money) to finish my sons first car! This car is insured for over $30,000 but am sacrificing it for much less! Engine/Transmission It has a 389 V8 rebuilt from the bottom up and includes an Edelbrock power package (matched cam, lifters, intake and 750CFM electric choke Performer carb). Mallory billet distributor. Full Edelbrock cast valve covers and air cleaner. It has a little over 300 miles since the rebuild. Pontiac two speed transmission fully rebuilt. Shifts firm and clean. Cast Iron full flow manifolds and custom dual exhaust. New fuel pump, gas tank, sender and lines. New chrome alternator and power steering pump. All new belts and hoses. Too many new parts to list! Brakes/Steering/Suspension New quick turn power steering box and all new lines and hoses. New shocks all the way around. Custom rear lowering springs to level out ride height. New drums all the way around as well as new shoes, wheel cylinders and hardware. New brake lines front to back. New chrome dual bowl power brake booster and master cylinder. Interior Completely new interior with many custom touches. Custom gauges and dash wood work. One thousand watt, dual amp stereo system with 10 speakers and two subs....very clean and custom install. GTO Center Console installed with Hurst Dual Gate shifter. Custom Steering Wheel with Pontiac horn button. New dash pad, custom covered bucket seats in the front with the Pontiac logo stitched in front and rear. New headliner, door panels and carpet. All bright work has been polished and is present. Full custom trunk. Clean, comfortable and quiet. Exterior Full custom two tone paint. 17" Torg Thrust Original wheels with Bridgestone Tires. Custom mirrors. Shaved drip channels. Custom opened rear wheel openings. All bumpers have had the bolts removed and then were re-chromed. 1966 Pontiac Grand Prix grilles installed. Custom functioning (open) hood scoops. Slightly recessed (flush) rear tail light openings. All lights and signals work. Overall This car is truly one of a kind. You will not find a better 1966 Pontiac Catalina resto mod,,,running, driving or looking...than this one. Quality wise this car is at least a 9 out of 10 in my opinion. Looks wise it is 10 out of 10. It is not perfect and has its quirks but for a 50 year old car that was rebuilt 3 years ago and is rarely driven doesn't?! Won best in class and best interior at local show this past July! Known issues...... trans pan gasket leaking due to sitting. Oil seepage at the Oil Filter adapter housing. Very small coolant puddles at intake (between water pump and intake) until seal warms up and expands. Gas gauge is inaccurate due to Auto Meter gauges not matching the sender in tank. Interior dome light does not work. I am representing this car in all honesty and fairness with full disclosure. It is not perfect nor will it ever be but it is a great cruiser and will make a great addition to anyone's collection. Drive it, cruise it, show it and enjoy it for what it is!
