1980 Volvo 242, original owner, hot rodded by the original owner. Body is in excellent condition, paint is decent but needs some work on the hood and rear lid (acid rain and some paint pops like stone chips), 1978 chevy 350 balanced and blue printed motor, Corvette stage 2 heads, roller rockers, electronic ignition, heavy duty water, oil, fuel pumps, heavy duty clutch, 4 speeds original Volvo rear end, Hurst shifter, duel exhaust, Corvette manifolds, IPD lowered suspension with sway bars, cross drilled rotors, new master cylinder, calipers, pads, new Holley 4 barrel carb and fuel filter, battery moved to rear for better weight distribution, this conversion was only 50# heavier than the original Volvo motor and equipment! I know I have missed a bunch of extra modifications and equipment on this cool car. This Volvo really is an engineering marvel, it moves and handles incredibly well and is an experience to drive. Clean clear title in my name (original owner) and very low miles on the entire vehicle and drivetrain. For Sale locally and I reserve the right to end auction early.Odometer is roughly 124,000 although just about everything has been replaced, ball joint, tie rods ends, etc, etc.Less than 10,000 miles on the motor. This Volvo is a sleeper, driving it is like a freight train, crazy fast and wild!!!! On Nov-15-15 at 04:39:53 PST, seller added the following information: This is not original paint, a respray to oriniginal color around 10 years ago. On Nov-16-15 at 10:29:11 PST, seller added the following information: I just found the original bill of sale and pre delivery inspection, again original owner.....also have the owners manual etc., I will up load picture of those couple of things. Items I forgot to list. Currently the Volvo has a 390 rear end and I am also including a 331 rear end if you want different performance. Comp 350/350 cam, forger pistons, double whip timing chain, custom large capacity brass radiator, Teflon bushings on suspension, custom dual exhaust with cat converters (cats currently off), I can't stress enough how much custom work and engineering/thought went into the build, literally everything mechanical has been rebuilt, custom or new.....I would drive it across the country without hesitation. Again, you will not get rid of the grin on your face...it is a blast to drive and has raw torque and horsepower.
