Up for auction is one Red 2000 Honda Insight. This car has every option that the factory offered, as far as I can tell. Runs great, looks good, interior is in great shape. If you are looking at this auction you probably already know that these cars are ALL aluminum, so they will never rust. Car had a complete mechanical refresh just a year ago, with clutch, all fluids, filters, and gaskets replaced. Second and third gears were also replaced, as a precaution, since these are known weak spots in this model. Has the coast-down regen switch mod installed, as well.The good:Runs & drives great, engine is nice & quiet. Even with the IMA light on I have averaged about 54 MPG with this car, and that is mostly highway. If you spend less time at 60-70 MPH you will probably do even better.Body in great shape, interior as well. Paint is good, but does show a few parking lot scars.Power windows & doors, Cold A/C, aftermarket stereo & speakers.The bad:IMA light is on, so no battery boost. My experience with these cars would suggest that a couple of the battery sticks need to be replaced, but I have neither the time nor the inclination to pursue it at this time.The ugly:Well, I have never thought the Insight was the best looking car. Not really ugly, and it has grown on me, but it's no Lotus.That's all I can think of.
