Vehicle Detail

This is a fine example of the best of the British 500cc pre-unit singles ever built. Approximately 100 Matchless G85CS Scramblers were built. The documentation folder, includes an original G85CS - G80CS - P11 Maintenance and Instruction MANUAL in near perfect condition, restoration receipts and notes, a factory dispatch record and ownership history. The Matchless G85CS was a fine, handcrafted off road only scrambles. Special parts include the frame (bronze brazed Reynold 531 in a design derived from the Rickman Matisse), the Teledraulic forks, front hub (fins removed), rear hub (G50 Magnesium), foot peg hangers, rear brake lever, fiberglass tank, side covers, hand-made aluminum oil tank, Lucas Competition Magneto and AMAL GP carburetor complete a great 300 lb package. Most of the bikes from Triumph, BSA, Norton, Ariel, Royal Enfield and Velocette weighed around 375 lb. The frame number is C11292. The motor number is G85CS/254. The gearbox number is MA5878G. Shipping from Boulder Colorado is the buyer’s responsibility.
