Vehicle Detail
1989 Alfa Romeo Milano Verde VIN: ZARDA1240K111031359,xxx original miles -Red exterior (Alfa Rosso 130) -Verde cloth interior (Recaro seats) -Clean and clear history (CarFax and AutoCheck reports included) -Clean and clear NYS title in hand-No accidents -Meticulously maintained with service records and receipts Mechanicals:Only 59,xxx original miles from new. Starts, runs, and drives excellent with tons of power and torque from the all aluminum 3.0 V6 engine. Clutch feels great, and the transmission shifts smoothly and precisely throughout all five gears and into reverse. Absolutely no issues with the second gear synchro (common problem for these cars). Power is delivered to the rear wheels via the ingenious transaxle system. The factory Brembo brakes bring the car to a complete stop from any speed with ease. Emergency brake cable has recently been replaced and locks the rear wheels securely. The rear end has been slightly lowered with performance springs, balancing the car's ride height perfectly. With its 50/50 weight distribution and performance oriented suspension system, this car handles absolutely incredible. Aftermarket ANSA performance exhaust with twin polished tips not only looks great but also provides a high-quality sporty growl under acceleration, without any annoying drone at idle or cruising speeds. Certainly an appreciable upgrade over the original single tip exhaust. Meticulously maintained using only original OEM Alfa Romeo parts. Up to date on service with fresh fluids, filters, plugs, wires, distributor cap, belts, etc. The cooling system was recently overhauled with a brand new radiator and all associated hoses, along with a new water pump. The timing belt, tensioner, and serpentine belt were all just done as well with less than 1,000 miles since completion. A/C works good but could use a simple recharge to feel ice-cold. New Goodyear Eagle all-season tires (195/55R15) all around. Exterior:Super straight body with all original panels still bearing their factory VIN stickers. The red (Alfa Rosso 130 Doppio Strato) paint is very smooth, deep, and glossy — and although not brand-new, it is in exceptional condition overall. No fading of the original anthracite plastic trim, thanks in large to being garaged since new. Accident-free with no evidence of any major body or paint work. There are a few small areas that have been touched-up and are now barely visible from a few inches away (some minor stone chips on the nose of the hood along with some other miscellaneous areas). The factory Verde equipped fender flares have been repainted and look great (due to stone chips). I would like to make note of two tiny areas of paint bubbling on the bottom of the driver's door (one on the outside edge and the other on the inner edge, each less than a 1/4" in diameter). Door-jambs, pillars, gutters, and radiator-support are like-new with shiny original paint. All lights and glass are original and in excellent shape with no pitting or oxidation. The front grill and the rear Milano / 3.0 V6 / Quadrifoglio (cloverleaf) emblems are all smooth and shiny as well with no pitting or oxidation. Structurally the car is extremely solid with clean and straight floor pans, trunk pan, and rocker panels. There is absolutely no aftermarket undercoating applied to the undercarriage (which is often done in an attempt to hide rust and/or repairs). The engine bay is immaculate. This is a very honest car. The original factory Verde equipped 15" Benzoni (BWA) wheels are all straight and true with no curb rash or major scratches to their original gloss silver painted finish. Interior:Factory Verde equipped Recaro LS-C seats are finished in their original Black Avus cloth with Black Monza cloth inserts. Door panel inserts are finished in their original Black Monza cloth as well. It is nearly impossible to find this interior in such incredible condition (especially the driver's seat). There is not a single imperfection throughout (no rips, tears, fading, stains, etc). In addition, the black carpeting is all very clean. As is the headliner, which is finished in its original black cloth and has no major sagging issues (common problem with these cars). The rear shelf behind the rear seats is very nice as well -- and the dashboard, center console, and all plastic trim is crack-free and still looks new. Lastly, the trunk is super clean and appears to have been used very sparingly. The interior as a whole literally looks as good as the day it was put together in 1989. Electronics: All exterior and interior lights function flawlessly with no faults. All gauges and electronic accessories function flawlessly as well. All four power windows go up and down at normal speeds. The sunroof opens, closes, and tilts perfectly at normal speeds as well. The original factory equipped Clarion radio, speakers, and power antenna all work as they should. The infamous Alfa Romeo Control (ARC) dashboard-mounted diagnostic computer is currently malfunctioning with a couple of the lights randomly blinking (see photo). It is a very common problem for these cars, and jokingly referred to as the "Christmas tree” amongst Milano owners (due to the blinking lights). Most owners just ignore the unit altogether due to its insignificance and very outdated technology. However, a perfectionist might want it to function properly for nostalgic reasons, so there are two simple options:(1) DIY (do-it-yourself) fix with fully detailed step-by-step instructions and photos which requires a $1.25 voltage regulator from Radio Shack.(2) If tinkering with electronics is not your thing — a complete OEM NOS unit can be purchased on eBayMotors for $25-$30 and simply swapped right into the dashboard with three plugs in the back and two philips-head screws in the front. Summary:Although a sedan, the Milano Verde performs on par with the best sports cars of its day. Super clean low-mileage examples are few and far between nowadays, and anyone in the market will be hard-pressed to find another one even half as nice. At 26 years old, it is still the same beautiful high-performance sports sedan that was purchased new in 1989. Offered here is a very honest and super clean example that is fully sorted both mechanically and cosmetically. It needs nothing but a new owner to love and enjoy it. This is an Alfa Romeo Milano Verde you can truly be proud to own. Disclaimer:I want all potential buyers to understand that I have tried to describe this car as honestly and thoroughly as possible. I would like to reiterate the fact that it is a 26 year old used car and does have 59,xxx miles, so it does have some normal wear and tear. It is not a brand-new vehicle, and it is not 100% perfect -- however it is in exceptional condition both mechanically and cosmetically. The car is being sold as-is where-is, with no warranty expressed or implied. A full CarFax and AutoCheck report will both be provided to any interested parties. I welcome any potential buyers to come view the car in person -- however if this is not possible then I will do my best to provide you with any additional details/photos that you may need in order to make an informed decision. If you have been waiting for a pristine Milano Verde to come up for sale at a reasonable price, here is your chance. Bid confidently, you will not be disappointed. On Nov-02-15 at 13:30:26 PST, seller added the following information: I have been asked to explain exactly where the two small areas of paint bubbling are on the driver's door that I have mentioned in my description of the car's exterior. Maybe my wording was a bit confusing to some.. As you can see in the multiple photos --, by "outside" and "inner" bottom edge of the door, I meant one spot is on the bottom edge closer to the front fender, and the other spot is on the bottom edge closer to the rear door (both are on the outside of the driver's door). These are the only areas where there is any paint bubbling on the entire exterior of this car.On Nov-02-15 at 21:03:23 PST, seller added the following information: In some of the photos there is what appears to be white spots in the paint (mainly on the lower portions of the car -- rocker panels, lower bumper valances, etc)...They are merely reflections of the bird droppings on the ground surrounding the car which are showing up in the paint's reflection. On Nov-04-15 at 09:36:01 PST, seller added the following information: I did not have time to get the car on a lift, so I jacked it up and did my best to take photos of the undercarriage. Also some photos of recent receipts and the CarFax and AutoCheck reports.

The heat turns on/off with the push of the button(s), and heats up quickly and efficiently. On Nov-07-15 at 07:28:00 PST, seller added the following information: There are no issues with the ABS system, and the ABS warning light is not on. On the ARC, the only lights that are on is the windshield washer fluid light, an occasionally blinking emergency brake light (but when brake is engaged, the light stays on the way it should), and occasionally the front passenger door light, that's it -- no ABS light.
