Vehicle Detail
1972 Plymouth BarracudaRelisted....after a bunch of tire kickers, and lowball offers. I have lowered to a very fair number (I've had 3 offers in this neighborhood and turned down to see how bidding goes). Richard Petty Blue / Black Interior w/ 360 motor A Really solid 1972 Barracuda with 360 motor. I hate to sell it but I have 2 other collector cars and need to thin the heard. I just don't drive it enough and want to find it a good home. My son wants it as his first car...no chance....his loss is your gain.Really solid head turner. No real rust issues note surface rust by driver door (see picture)Last month I noticed the clearcoat starting to blister in spots, so I want to get it to someone who has a good home and can take it to the next level.360 motor out of a later Plymouth or Chrysler like 70-73 I believe. Runs and sound mean.Clear title - Note in New York they do not issue a Title document for 1972 and older cars. The registration document is the title and is fully transferable - you can look at www.nysdmv.com if you want to check. What it has / What I've done to it 1. New Tires all around - BF Goodrich - less than 100 miles on them 2. Did Real Brakes about 4 months ago 3. New Vinyl seats - Black 4. New Black carpet - note I miss trimmed the carpet in a spot. 5. Dynamat (Eastwood) sound / heat insulation installed under carpet. 6. New NOS Front Grill - Costs over $1500 alone - VERY RARE find - looks amazing 7. Replaced rear taillight lenses as old ones were cracked slightly. 8. Tranny serviced about 6 months ago 9. Oil Change 10. New Starter 11. New wood decal for center console 12. Car Cover 13. Waxing it up this weekend for showing / new owner What it needs / What I would do if keeping 1. Replace the Demon carb with one that sucks down less gas. The Demon "drinks" it down 2. Replace the gears in the rear diff. More strip gearing now - I prefer the cruze or stock gearing 3. Clean up / dress up engine compartment - I really have done nothing there 4. Overall tune up as I have not driven all that much lately 5. A few gauges not working right - would fix (like Gas guage etc) 6. Re-Streatch the new carpet - some bumps bothering me - or replace if I couldn't live with my miscut 7. Inspect / replace suspension - shocks etc - I have not done anything underside 8. Repaint the same Richard Petty Blue - perhaps add some matte stripes. Would look hot. ****Update - I've added more pictures showing underside. Also a picture of the cooling fan - this just stopped working and I am working on getting a replacement or will give a $100 discount off of purchase price of car to offset cost of replacement. Fan just crapped out yesterday after I waxed the car....of course.**** Sold as is as listed / pictured Listing locally and I reserve the right to end the auction at any time if sold locally. Buyer is responsible for pick up - I will not transport or deliver. $1000 deposit due within 24 hours of winning bid / buy now via pay pal. Deposit is not refundable - if you bid/buy - you bought it. I am not ending up with playing games - I am a very fair honest person and only want to deal with the same. Balance due at time of pick up - CASH - no checks, no IOU, no pay pal for final payment. No games. If you have a question - email and ask - I will gladly answer - I a taking more pictures and can post for you to see. No warranties - Sold as is. It is a car from 1972.
