Vehicle Detail

For sale is a 1979 Chevy Silverado CK20 3/4 ton 4x4. This is a Camper Special with the extra shock absorbers in the bed which are bad at this point of their life. Cab lights work. It has an original 85,696 miles on it. It has the big block 400/400 trans. It has one dent about the size of your little finger on the top rail of the bed. The interior of the bed is in good shape with very few little dents. The paint is good. The wind shield has some wiper marks on it. The front seat needs a little cleaning, but it is in excellent shape with a firm cushion. The dash has a couple of cup holders that the owner had put on, so there are small holes where they were installed, but no cracks in the dash. It has an intermenttent windshield wiper. Duel 20 gal. gas tanks, both work. It has a good push bar with a hitch on the front for placing a trailer or launching a boat easier. It has an 8 track / radio, but the speakers are bad, I don't know if the 8 track works. The 400 transmission has been rebuilt about 4,000 miles ago. There are some leaks underneath. It has a new Champion 4 core radiator, but it was 3 inches to short, but works well with no leaks with a 3in. shim at the top. It has air but it needs Freon. It has power brakes and power steering. The master cylinder is just now starting to leak. The head liner and sun visors are in bad shape. It has a tilt wheel that is floppy and even though I drive it that way it needs to be repaired before it goes on the road with any one else. The tires need replacing. The carburetor looses it's prime over night and takes a few moments to get started, after it starts, it's good the rest of the day. There are no electric leaks, I have let this truck set for several months and the battery cranks at full power every time. All lights work. It has part time hubs. After the engine starts the first time of the day, it takes a few moments before you can feel all plugs firing. The drivers door has a broken pin that helps keep the door open when swung out. The latch on the glove box is loose, but it still locks if held right when shut. This is a smoke free environment truck. It had dual exhaust until I bought about 12 years ago but they had to put on a catylitic converter for the county I live in. I just had it smoged in late August so it's good for another 22 months or so. I've listed every thing I can think of to give you some idea of what you are bidding on. As near as I can tell looking over this truck it has a great rust free body that has not been wrecked. I no longer have need of a pickup so I hope this will meet the needs of some one else rather than let it just set here in my yard. I'm starting the bid at $3,900 with no reserve. It will be up to the buyer to pick this truck up or arrange for shipping after the winning bid. A $250.00 non refundable deposit is required. Buyer is responsable for all tax, transfer and license fees. Cashers check, or cash is preferred upon pick up of vehicle. I'll try to answer any question one may have. Thanks, Guss
