You are looking at a True Period Correct Hot Rod Phaeton Touring "T" Traditional 50's Tub! This 1927 Ford has the right "Kustom Kulture Look" built with the best parts available, no expense spared with ZERO corners cut here! It starts, stops, and drives extremely well, with tons of power. It has a fully built FoMoCo 312 Y-Block V8 Motor with Mild Cam, mated to a TREMEC T5 Five speed transmission. Yes this Hot Rod has three pedals and is extremely responsive. Gear selection is made with a Tall shifter with a Vintage Rat Fink knob. Three Matched Ford 8BA Carburetors and 3x2 Offenhauser aluminum manifold set up with progressive linkage. All new 12V wiring and Ron Francis harness with 12V Generator, rebuilt Distributor with 8mm Blue series wires, Chrome So-Cal 12V Coil. Dual Lakester Headers with baffles, Sounds awesome! Custom Model A radiator and new hoses keep this Hot Rod running Cool like Fonzi. The "All Henry Steel Body" is straight and very solid overall, with zero visible rust or rot. We enjoyed it just as it is a "Bad Ass Hot Rod". Shot in Hot Rod Flat Red that shows very well, that said the there are some imperfections and light scratches in the paint (see pics). Working doors that open and shut using stock latches. Original Stainless 1931 Ford Grill flows seamlessly with the body lines and overall look. The chopped windshield still swivels "safari style" and is a perfect fit, chip and crack free. The bench seats both front and back are done in Ol'school Black Tuck and Roll with new foam, very comfortable. Vintage 1940 Ford 2 spoke black steering wheel with a vintage Cosco Ruby spinner knob mated to a Hot Rod 40 column, 1927 Ford steel dash with Stewart Warner gauges. The 1934 Ford Commercial headlights and 20's Dodge "STOP" tail light work as they should. A lowered ride with a Fully Boxed Model A Frame that has been stepped using 2" x 4" x .125 wall and with All American. The rear cross member is set up with 220 lbs Coil Overs ans split wishbones with tie rod ends, 1956 Ford F100 rear end with rebuilt Hydralic brakes . Up front we have Drilled and Dropped 32 Heavy Axel with Heavy Tie Rod Joint Vega cross steering, Chrome shorty shocks with F1 shock mounts, Early Ford Round Back Spindles with 40 Ford brakes supplied juice from the compact Master Cylinder. The open drive line has a newer drive shaft. New 5.60 15" Black Wall tires in the front on Gennie Rims, New 8.90 16" Firestone Black Wall Dirt Track tires in the rear on Reversed Gennie Rims. The Rims were powder coated black with 40 Ford V8 Hubcaps. The Stainless Gas Tank in the rear has a vintage Indy style flip-top gas cap . A new Interstate 12V Battery, Voltage Regulator, and Ron Frances Fuse Block is concealed in a compartment under the passenger side of the front seat. In a nut shell this is a one of a kind classic! Turn the key and go cruise! This is not a museum quality car or trailer queen, but it is a nice driver car that will steal the show at any local gathering! Any and every-time I drive this car I get nothing but waves, thumbs ups, conversation, I cant come out of a store with out somebody standing there looking in! It has been driven for long distances at interstate speeds. This "Tubbster" is a California car and has many new and upgraded parts, Lots of accessories and kustom pieces.
