For sale: Clean and dry 78 Dodge Power Wagon W200 4x4 Club Cab survivor truck with desirable Adventurer package. Well equipped with heavy duty cooling, side tool box, power steering, power brakes and tilt wheel. From the high desert of Montana, land of the sagebrush and prickly pear cactus. Lightly used by a couple of older owners and never mudded, wheeled, or hooned. Bone stock and includes original jack, handle and lug wrench. and all original purchase docs including warranty papers and window sticker. Just a clean old truck that's ready to work with good 10 ply tires and receiver hitch with brake controller and trailer wiring. Great for those trips to the Home Depot with the guys or to the Steak and Shake with the wife in style. Exterior: Paint still shines and pretty straight old truck, and 98 percent rust free. A couple of very small spots, one behind rear wheel and one at bottom of front fender as shown. In arid land, we only get 10 inches of total moisture per year and sand, not salt, is used on the roads. Underside of truck is exceptionally clean. I had a local shop repaint the white in the middle of the truck, driver quality job, it had many door dings and chips and one small rust spot over rear wheel that was treated with POR-15 and filled with All-Metal. The red paint is thin in a couple of spots on the driver door. Normal dents and scratches typical of a truck this age as shown. Inside box wheel wells are in decent condition, box floor has dents and minor surface rust as shown. Glass is good, windshield is new. Chrome has dings, but no pitting. Interior: Decent original condition. Driver seat has tears as shown, and a broken spring. Original carpet shows some wear. Small cracks as shown on glovebox door. Most everything works as far as I can tell including lights, wipers, heater, etc. Radio is non-op, haven't looked into it. Just a nice solid original interior with no smells, rodent damage, or major issues. Mechanical: Starts, runs, and drives out fine. 360 V8, 727 trans and full time 4wd. Original 360 works well with no noticeable smoke (other than puff at startup from valve seals), noises or issues. Cold blooded, takes a while to warm up, may need choke adjustment. There are a few drips under the truck if left overnight, like most vintage 4x4s, but nothing horrible. Shifts fine and drives smooth with typical stiff 3/4 ton ride. Original style 16.5 tires that were on the truck had great tread but were badly weather cracked, so I purchased some very good used 235/85/16 10 ply all season traction radials with beadlock rims. Great tread and no cracking. I can include original wheels and tires if desired. Oil pressure reads on the lower side of the gauge but I think it's sending unit as the motor has no noise or bearing rattle and sounds great. Really no issues I can think of except front fuel tank has soured and has stale gas, I didn't mess with it, just ran off rear tank.
