Vehicle Detail
Your are looking at a very nice 1997 Chevrolet Astro AWD High Top Conversion Van with very low mileage. This van has never been in an accident, and has never been smoked in! This van has only averaged about 5,300 miles a year since it was new! If your looking for a clean nice looking conversion Van that is AWD, than here it is! It is just about impossibleTo find one of these in this condition any more that is an AWD! This van is equipped with an automatic transmission, front and rear A/C, AM/FM radio with cassette and CD player, cruise control, tilt steering, power seats, rear wiper, tachometer, flat screen TV with DVD player, and rear headphones. All of the seats are made plush and very comfortable to sit in, and are made by FlexSteel. All rear chairs have arm rests and slide back and forth, and the rear seat folds down into a bed! The windows not only have curtains that you can close, but also have blinds that pull down to help block the sun out! There are three levels of mood lighting in back with lights under the windows and throughout the cabin. Also, this vans battery system is protected by a battery protection system that will trip a breaker when the current gets too low. This system protects you from running you battery dead and not being able to start your van. When this system is tripped, you simply press the reset button and start the van. This is a safety feature that will keep you from getting stranded with a dead battery! Mechanically, the van is very sound, and i would not hesitate to drive to California with it tomorrow if i had too. The tires are about 90-95%, and have less than 8000 miles on them. The spare tire is also brand new and is full size!! I replaced the brakes about 1.5 yrs ago along with putting new front calipers and rotors on. The only reason why I did this is because I had to replace the brakes, and figured I would put new equipment on since the calipers and rotors were the originals. I also went ahead and replaced the shocks with new AC Delco shocks when I replaced the brakes, so those are newer as well! Again, I am very big on preventative maintenance, so everything will be good to go on this van! We really hate to get rid of this van, but we don't travel nearly as much as we thought we would, and when we do, we usually end up taking our RV. This is a great van, and would make some family very happy! This van only has 96,500 miles on it, and it will easily go another 100,000 miles. If you are in need of a nice van for your growing family, but don't want to spend $30-40K for a new one, than here is a great van for you!
