Vehicle Detail

1965 FORD F100NO RESERVE Thanks for checking out "Francis" my 1965 Ford F100. I absolutely love these trucks, very hard to find in this condition. These are great trucks, you don't see these often, they are pretty rare actually these days. I am a Ford guy in general, and honestly would love to actually keep this one as a shop truck, but don’t really need to add anything, trying to thin the heard. I love the look of a nice honest stock truck, nothing fancy, most of them have been made in to low riders or hot rods, and just used and abused. Wait tell you see inside the bed of this truck, it had a canopy on it, most of its life, and it never hauled anything heavy in the bed, no dents in the back, it is awesome. This truck with a little effort will make a cool parade, vintage gas station truck, I can see the, Union 76, Flying A theme, Shelby Cobra shop truck tribute, this will make a great conversation piece for your business, and yes perfect to take the grand kids out in for a parade and ice cream. Please check out the photos, Oscar is a solid truck, mechanically he is very sound. Give me a call if you want to discuss it more. Thanks, Jason 503-910-2085 Condition: Great old truck, it was used like many of them, but sparingly. This is not a restored truck, just an vintage truck that someone has cared about over the years. The paint is nothing super fancy, but it does have a decent shine to it, older paint, lots of chips and small scratches that have been touched up. Out in the sun, looks awesome, in the shade or under lights, you see some light orange peel, a little wavy in areas, but his truck from what I can see, does not have a lot of bondo, it is very very solid. You tap it down the sides, with your fingers, and you know from the sound, this truck is all metal, no signs of any abuse, or accidents. A few bubbles around the roof gutter, and the front of hood, but honestly this is on of the most solid vintage F100 trucks in this vintage I have seen in a while. It does have a nice shine to it, but at the end of the day, you may want to paint it again down the road, to take it to the next level, but for now it looks good, and you can drive it and enjoy, maybe even bring it to a few weekend cruise nights and enjoy yourself. It looks great from 10 ft away, under lights you see more flaws. Out in the natural light, or sun, it looks good, you see flaws here and there, outside, but looks decent, most people wouldn't notice, but as you come closer, you will notice things about the paint, some small sags or runs in paint, but they probably could be wet sanded out pretty easy, the paint is 20 years old, and is what it is. This is nicer then most F100 I see that are just driver/projects that you have seen on Ebay or elsewhere. The only thing that has been modified on the body, is that someone put a sun roof in it a long time ago, you don’t notice it to much, because of the height, and comes in handy, when you are driving, but it is there, I would just leave it for now. The bottom corners of the cab are in really nice shape, no repairs. If you look inside the door jams, they are in really amazing condition, no rust issues, very solid all the way around. A 1965 Original F100 grill is very hard to find these days, and this one is in excellent shape. The front and rear bumpers are in really nice condition, the rest of the chrome on the truck has age to it, pitting and hazing. Overall the body is in very solid, and in great shape, besides some of the paint flaws. There are some small dings in it, but nothing really major, look at the pictures and you will get a very good idea of what it is or is not. Would have to have you come and look at it before you bid if you get the chance or send a friend in the area. Mechanically it is in pretty good shape. The engine is a 390, running a 2bbl intake manifold, and headers. The engine is in very good shape, recently had the head gaskets, intake manifold, exhaust gaskets, valve cover gaskets, water pump, all redone. The Engine starts right up, and sounds great, very beefy sounding with the headers and dual exhaust. The engine is a strong runner for sure, and you can pull almost anything with in reason. There is normal engine oil residue, but no major oil leaks currently that I have noticed. It does not smoke or burn oil, exhaust is clean. The transmission has been upgraded to a AT on the floor, with a BM shifter. The transmission shifts nice, 3spd automatic. No transmission noise, sounds nice and tight. The exhaust is in good shape no holes, sounds great. The brakes work very good, and do not pull, truck stops nice and straight. The suspension is all stock and actually drives pretty nice, I was pretty surprised for an older twin beam truck, has its normal wondering for being old, I don't think it has ever been rebuilt, so it wonders a little bit when you drive it, not much be a little. It does drive like your typical vintage truck, but it will give you a smile on your face every time you pull it in to the local cruise-in. The tires are very nice they are 235/75/15, I would say they are about 95%. The wheels are nice, but have some rust pitting starting on them in some of the grooves. Overall mechanically the truck seems to be in good shape, obviously will need a little tinkering here and there, but mechanically it is good. Interior is in great shape. The seat is in beautiful shape, no rips or tears, just redone actually. Overall the interior is pretty clean, this is something that I for sure would take my wife out on a date in, it is not dirty inside, very clean, for a truck that has been driven and enjoyed, original door panels are in nice shape. Steering wheel, has few cracks at the base, but overall in good condition. The dash area is clean, non smoker truck. The original floor mat is in great condition. There is no headliner in it, something you may want to install down the road. Very nice looking inside not perfect but very nice for a driver and very comfortable to ride in. Gauges are working inside, the radio is only the face plate and knobs, no radio actually behind the face plate, the way I got it. All the exterior lights on the truck, are working, The wipers are currently not working. The front windshield does need replaced, has a crack in the corner, see picture, and 2 chips, you could leave it as well, it is in the corner. All the window gaskets are old, if you wanted to upgrade them down the road, that would be good, but it does stay dry inside. The door glass rolls down nicely, and wing window work. Overall a great looking interior. All in all the truck is a great old truck, but just needs some sorting out, but nothing major. The key works in the drivers door, but the passenger and the little side box on bed do not have keys. But you can lock it up obviously, just lock the passenger door, and lock the drivers door. This is a truck that you can take in parades, use at the local farmers market, put your business logo on, and enjoy at the local cruise-ins. This truck was not built to be a show truck, though you will be able to sb I have been selling classic cars here on eBay since 2003, 12 years now, with around 600 classic cars sold over the internet. What I love about these old cars, is that I get to own some of my favorite cars one at a time, I have turned this passion into a business, but for me it is an awesome time to enjoy the cars themselves. It has been such a joy to do business with people all over the world. I have sold multiple cars to many buyers all over from Europe, Dubai, Australia, Japan, Brazil, just to name a few. It has always been a pleasure, getting to know other car enthusiast all over the Continent, especially some that have become very good friends of mine because of our love for cars. I look forward to doing business here on ebay for many years to come, and look forward to meeting some other like minded classic car nuts like myself. If you would like to call me and talk about the car, that would be great, would love to help you out, if you want to call and talk about cars, it would be my pleasure, I am on the hunt for any Interesting classics, odd ball and unique vehicles. Please, come out and personally take a look at it in person, or send a friend or inspector, or transporter, always better if possible to see it with your own eyes, I am close to major airport, and easy to get to. These are classic vehicles, with lots of history, almost years old, so they are used, not perfect, they don’t have warranties, or guarantees, they are as is, where is, nothing else is promised, I can’t possibly explain every little thing about a vehicle in writing, believe me I've tried, lol, seeing in person is always best, I try to give an good description, and normally over 75 photos at least, so you can get a good gauge of what it is, and isn’t.
