Vehicle Detail
Nice, original survivor 1975 CB550K1. This bike was ridden on a regular basis through last year. I purchased it from a local shop who had just gone through the carbs, changed the oil and filter, replaced the spark plugs and given it a general check over. I oery sounbtained the bike in May of this year and now it's time for it to find a new home. I have a clear Michigan title in my name. Mechanically, the bike is very sound. It kicks over, starts easily and runs good. It goes down the road and shifts through the gears just fine. Brakes are good. Tires are very good. Chain and sprockets still have lots of life left in them. All the instruments and lights work as they should with the exception of the high beam indicator which needs a new bulb. What it needs: The electric start button is missing so right now it is kick start only - you can find the button kits for less than $10.00 The battery is starting to get weak and probably should be replaced next year. It could use a clutch cable - I lubed it but it still hangs up occasionally and is getting stretched. Cosmetically the bike is pretty clean but definitely not perfect. The tank is faded on top and has a few small dings and scrapes in it. There is minor surface rust on some of the chrome and oxidation on the aluminum parts - all pretty typical of a bike this age. The seat cover is not original and the exhaust is not either. The right frame side cover is not the correct color and is cracked at the bottom. Overall, for its age, this bike is very clean and original. If there is anything that I missed or you have questions or would like to see additional pictures, please let me know. I've made a hobby of buying, riding, and selling bikes just like this and always do my best to present them as accurately as possible. The bike must be paid for within 7 days of auction's close and I prefer it be picked up within 2 weeks but can be flexible with that. I also travel around Michigan and a few of the surrounding states for work and may be able to deliver the bike for a nominal fee. Thanks for looking and bidding!
