Vehicle Detail

Normal 0 false false false EN-US JA X-NONE You are bidding (no reserve :D) on a 1966 mustang coupe 'C' vin code, with a 302cid engine known today as the 5.0L. Originally came with the 289cid engine, the upgrade to a 302cid engine was done by owner before whom installed the running 302cid/automatic transmission out of his 69 fastback!!! so greater power than the 289 cid engine. It got power steering!!!! so even better handling than non-ones. I say it's sweet easy restoration because you don’t have to do welding of any kind, mostly calibrating/adjusting/bolting parts or cleaning stuff, extremely solid car, plus minor work and you can have a drivable classic and drive it while you restore it for shows. I care very much about keeping 100% positive feedback so have the confidence I'm describing my item as much possible as I can, if you have any questions or concerns please don't hesitate to ask (text preferred) my cell# is 8018369209. New Parts and jobs done: -New front chromed bumper. -New right door. -New left door. -New right front fender. -New left front fender. -New front valance. -New upper stone guard. -New ignition lock. -New keys made as well. -Newly premiered with about 2quarts of antirust primer auto paint. -Owner before jobs put his 69 hood scoop on hood and upgraded to 302cid engine. Originally a 4 barrel engine but installed a 2 barrel carb for saving gas. -Some of the extra miscellaneous parts and bolts are inside the car and will go with it for you to install. It does have missing parts like front grill and little plastic washers locks that go inside the doors locks. Car runs great, Rust matter mostly SURFACE rust, Original floor panels are there in great condition, I even sanded the drivers side front panel (usually the one in worst shape) from underneath to show how SOLID metal they are (see pictures), took pictures of frame rails and are solid as well, underbody frame is solid no holes, Doors and fenders are new with no bondo. Selling as it is, it’s an old car that has its ware and attention needed just like any other classic restoration project. Brakes were working perfectly until I drove it yesterday to take these pictures for this add, calipers are working great no leaks, just the pedal lost pressure so master cylinder reservoir needs attention, ill keep working on the car fixing stuff I can until it goes. The mustang is a desert Moab, Utah car where spent the last 20 something years halfway buried in sand reason why the underbody frame area is amazingly solid with no rust holes like most barn finds. Reason as well why you'll need CLEANING/vacuum dust, sand and little rocks. I put some filler on a 1 inch hole that was on the passenger side rear quarter panel, while I sanded the car getting ready for the primer paint I noticed bondo on the drivers side quarter panel from little dents nothing to worry about, before you paint it you might want to reshape those areas sanding it. One other job that will need to be done is to clean the fuel lines as for now I use a small quantity 12oz of gasoline in the engine compartment to run the car for like an hour but after you clean those you should be able to use gas tank and run normally. Works fine but will recommend to clean carb as well. Like I said most of the work or parts are pretty simple stuff to do or get. I owned the car for the last year and a half always kept garaged under a ceiling, so no rain damaged.. thanks for your generosity and good luck bidding.
