Vehicle Detail
I purchased this car in 2007, at the height muscle car fever and prices at substantially higher price and then started purchasing restoration parts. My plans for the car were to put a big block in it and then after more thought I realized that I'd want to drive it regularly so I purchased a 1998 Firebird convertible with an LS1,auto transmission and disc break rearend, with the intentions of creating of a very updated Pace Car that could and would be driven daily. Eight years later my priorities are changing and I'm not sure if this project fits in the equation anymore so my intentions are to recoup as much of my investment as possible. Since all the easy cars have long ago been purchased and restored leaving cars that are rusted to the ground, I believe this is about as solid of an original car out there that is unrestored so I wouldn't mind keeping it for "some day" but if it sells I'm emotionally ready to let it go as well. What is included at the buy it now price is this 1969 Pace Car, a title, the last seller, (not the person on the title), had a 350 engine stamped for the restoration of the car, he explained it is not the original motor but an exact duplicate for restoration purposes, it was included in my purchase so I took it, if the next owner wants it I will also include it. The complete list of restoration parts below is also included, these are all new parts in the box. What is included if the reserve is met but the buy it now option is not exercised is the car, the engine block with restoration stamping and the title. No restoration parts are included at this price. The last person that titled the car purchased it in 1975, (as stated on the title) and sold it in 1996 so the history is very short on the car with regards to ownership. I do have a title currently in my name but kept the old title because of the history and validation it provides. There is very little rust in the car for an unrestored 1969 car, a trunk pan has been installed in the car but is not quite finished out, it does have rust in one floor pan that I noticed, the lower quarter and lower fender on the driver's side should be replaced, the passenger side has minor rust in the lower fender and lower quarter but in my opinion is easily repairable. Areas like the inner and outer wheelhouses are still white and have no rust at all, the frame rails are rust free, the cowl is perfect, the floor braces are in excellent condition, even the trunk drop offs that are rusted out on some of the most solid cars are in solid original condition here, overall it's a very solid car needing fairly minor rust repair. If you've never lived in the south or owner an older car from the south you will be very pleased as this is nothing like the cars from rusty states, it's been well preserved. If you take the time to closely at the pictures I believe that any serious buyers will be extremely pleased with how solid the foundation of this car is and what a rare opportunity it presents to someone. This is the only Camaro I've ever owned so no need to email me and wow me with your knowledge, anyone looking at this auction surely knows more than I. I really don't know what else to say, if you're interested just shoot me an email and you can come and take a look at it or send someone to view it for you. $500 due in 36 hours of auction ending, balance due in 7 days or upon pick up whichever comes first.
