These classic "brick" Volvo cars are very popular in the Richmond area. They have not been made in over twenty years and you still see them everywhere. This is a nice original, rust free 1993 wagon. This has always been a southern car, so no rust. (I have the original bill of sale) My son drives the same year and color sedan, but did not have the factory alloy wheels. We purchased this and switched out the tires and rims. I have not registered or insured this, but I have driven it and it runs and shifts well at highway speeds. I also had my mechanic look it over and repairs were made to hoses, alternator and water pump. The Good... New Virginia Inspection. Everything in good order, including the tires. Cold Air Conditioning Everything works, including power windows and cruise control. Nice Yakima Ski Rack included. I believe these sell for a few hundred dollars alone. I lost the rack key, so you will need a locksmith. New aftermarket stereo/cd player with auxiliary port. Recent timing belt, new water pump, alternator, lower radiator hose and radiator flush. Interior in good shape for a 22 year old car. No cracks on dash. Just normal wear and tear. Driver SIde Airbag. (Only 1990 and newer have this safety feature.) The Not So Good... Car has lots of small dings, mostly on hood, that won't show on pictures. Other scrapes and bumps which add "character", some faded paint. Car idles low, especially when the a/c is on. Will need adjustment. You may have to keep your foot on the gas pedal slightly at traffic lights until it is adjusted. Like most 240's, the odometer broke, but the seller estimated 225000 to 230000 total miles. The alloy wheels are not included. The car now has regular hub caps. I am listing this "NO RESERVE". The paint is original and shows its age. The hood has lots of tiny dings that do not show up in pictures. The exhaust system looks new. Just normal surface rust underneath. This "NO RESERVE" auction. On Sep-02-15 at 16:19:14 PDT, seller added the following information: A fellow ebayer explained how to adjust the idle. I did that today and it is idling properly, even with the a/c on. Also, I took it for a longer ride. It runs well and the odometer actually works, so the mileage is approximately 218K. I've uploaded a few more pictures.
