Here's your chance at a true rare restore-able classic. Here's the cars story: Dean Kleckner was a helicopter pilot in Vietnam. He served 2 tours of duty. When he returned to the US the 1st thing he bought was this car. He special ordered this car with bucket seats and a manual 4-speed transmission. Dean drove this car and enjoyed it for many years. He put on all of the 122,000 miles. The car was kept in his garage for the last 12 years and not driven. I pulled this car out of his garage, went through and put in new plugs, fresh gas, oil, filters...The car is now drive-able and road worthy, unfortunately Dean passed away on August 9th 2015. The car does need some brake work but otherwise it is very mechanically sound. The interior is in great condition with exception to the drivers seat which is torn. I was under this car and it is solid. I found no rust on the floorboards or truck pan. The car has single exhaust and runs very quietly. The tires are fair but should probably be replaced at some point due to the extensive amount of time it was stored. Every piece of chrome and trim is here and in good shape. The rear window was re-caulked at some point and not done professionally. Please feel free to ask questions if you have any. On Aug-27-15 at 09:22:18 PDT, seller added the following information: New Information! It turns out I do have the jack and spare which are in good condition. I also have all the original paperwork including: The build sheet, the protecto plate, the original sales receipt, the owners manual including the emissions control manual and I have a ton of the maintenance records, registration receipts and the u-haul rental agreement from when the car and Dean moved to Wisconsin. As it turns out the car was originally kept and titled in NC not Texas as I originally thought. There is so much paperwork you can actually track the life history of this car. I even have the receipts from when new exhaust was added, new shocks, new steering linkage, front end alignments, NC vehicle inspection reports dating back to when the car only had 3,000 miles on it and the original receipt showing how much Dean paid and what his trade in value was.
