Up for sale is my 1984 BMW 528e (E28). I bought this car about four months ago to fix up the interior and finish restoring but unfortunately I need a larger vehicle. The vehicle was purchased from Louisiana from the original owner’s son; the car shows two owners, father and son, and has been in that family since new. I have a booklet with all of the service receipts for the vehicle since 1984 when the vehicle was purchased. The car has been a southern vehicle it’s whole life, from Louisiana to its current home in Florida. Mechanically, the vehicle is solid and is ready to be driven on a daily basis from what I can gather. The car has been kept up to date on its servicing and the previous owner did a compression test recently showing that the engine cylinders are very healthy for its age. I drove the vehicle for several miles over the four months that I’ve owned it and it runs strong with the temperature on the cool side at all times. Clutch is strong and feels great. I had the fuel lines replaced with new ones as well as had new battery contacts and a new battery installed. All work was done here at Cars and Concepts in Tampa, receipts included. The interior needs work, plain and simple. The seats are in pretty good condition with minor tears on the driver’s side, but the cushions are a little flat. The left rear door panel is in the trunk. The carpet needs cleaning, I can’t see any stains but it'll need a thorough cleaning. Dash has cracks and the ashtray needs to be popped back in. As stated, the interior needs attention. The body is straight and there are no signs of accident damage, carfax shows none. The car looks like it was repainted a few years ago. The paint has a nice shine to it but it’s not perfect. There are some areas that could use a polish. There are one or two bubbles where there could be some surface rust. The undercarriage is clean and I don’t see any structural rust at all. There are some spots on the corners of the body where there is some rust like the corner of the door. The only things wrong with the car are cosmetic. The interior needs attention, the roof could use a polish and it needs some cleaning up and a refresh. Other than that, it’s ready to be driven every day. The car is rock solid.
