We are selling my 1959 Studebaker Lark VIII 2 Door Hardtop. The car has the 259 V-8 engine with the automatic transmission. The car has a mileage exempt title but it shows approximately 31,700 miles and it cannot be verified. The car is a very clean driver that runs and drives fantastic. The car accelerates smoothly and shifts well. The points were removed and were replaced by the pertronix ignition unit. The fuel pump was rebuilt with the modern fuel compatible materials. The carburetor was also kitted with the modern kit. All of the gauges work properly, but the radio doesn't work. The carpet has been replaced as has the windlace which had faded from the sun. The seats and door panels appear to be original and are in good shape. The side of the bottom of the driver's seat has had two small repairs performed and as can be seen in the photo's the color match is not quite on. The repairs are only noticeable when you are entering the car. This car is very clean, fun to drive and is turn key! It was a relatively low production volume car with less than 8,000 sold in 1959. The floors and trunk are in fantastic shape, The paint is nice and shiny, but there are a few chips and one scratch that is on the lower side of the passenger door that you can notice when you are close to the car and are looking low (the photo was taken very close up). I have posted some videos of the car running and driving as well as a video of the interior and have tried to take good quality photo's for your review. While we like the car a lot and we really enjoy driving it, any prospective buyer may not feel the same. We encourage any bidders to schedule an inspection prior to bidding.
