Vehicle Detail

1993 Buick Roadmaster Estate Wagon - 101k original miles, Only 1 owner since new! This gorgeous Estate wagon was purchased brand new on October 22, 1993 from Stillman Buick in Englewood, NJ. It was driven in Florida during the winter months and New Jersey from spring until fall. The wagon was mostly garage kept and *meticulously* maintained by a car enthusiast! I spent some time with the original owners, a former Mayor of a small town in north Jersey and his wife, who owned the car up until a few weeks ago. They are now elderly and recently purchased a brand new Ford Escape, as it's easier to enter/exit. Many of the miles on the Roadmaster were from traveling to and from Florida for the first few years, and eventually the wagon would remain in the garage in NJ with a battery tender while the snowbirds flew to their Florida winter retreat. The owners saved ALL service records and receipts for the car (an impressive 1-inch thick folder), and there's even a handwritten log of all the maintenance for the past 22 years in the back of the owner's manual! Besides all the service records, I received the original pink NJ title from 1993, the original window sticker, dealer folders, both sets of keys and 2 remotes. The MSRP in 1993 was $27,838 after all the options. It was ordered in beautiful Dark Jadestone Metallic with the Beige leather interior. See the original window sticker below for a full list of the standard features & options. Everything works! The A/C is ice-cold, automatic climate control works perfectly, power antenna works and all speakers sound clear, all interior/exterior lights still illuminate, and the third row opens/folds like new. It seats 8 passengers comfortably. In it's day this was a premier luxury cruiser for families, and it's wooden applique styling is unmistakably American looking! Everywhere I take this car it gets looks and smiles. You don't see many of these Roadmaster wagons on the road any longer, especially in this condition. The paint is in great condition for the age. The hood paint has lost some of it's luster, but did come up nicely with the full detail. The vinyl wood applique still shows nicely but does have some fraying on the trim pieces. The plastic chrome pieces also have some peeling in certain spots. The front grille has a broken spindle (see pic), I was told this was the result of a shopping cart that had gone rogue a few years back. I was informed there was one incident in the 22 years of ownership, the right front fender was damaged in a parking lot, and professionally repaired. The Roadmaster is equipped with a class exclusive dual functioning tailgate. It flips down and also swings out, and both features work perfectly. This is by no means a show car and it does show normal wear/tear for the age, but it is in excellent condition for 22 years old and could be a great daily driver for someone to enjoy. Pretty soon it will qualify for classic car insurance! The leather interior is immaculate. There aren't any cracks in the dash or door panels. The Vista roof is exclusive to the Roadmaster wagon and adds a very cool touch to the interior of this car. It also has the optional pull shades. Mechanically, the 5.7L V8 fires up and runs strong! Oil changes were done religiously and parts were replaced as needed. The factory scheduled maintenance plan was followed diligently by the original owner. The full service history is available to the next owner. The transmission is original and shifts perfectly in all gears. Since this wagon was either in Florida or in the garage during the winter months, it avoided NJ winters for the last 22 years. I had an inspection done and changed the oil/filter, air filter, front sway bar links, installed 4 brand new all-season tires, and had it professionally detailed inside/out. According to the service records, the battery was replaced last year. It runs and drives great, holds the road impressively, and has a phenomenal ride! You feel like you're floating down the road in this wagon! The auto-leveling ride control still functions the way it's supposed to. I wouldn't hesitate to drive this car anywhere! I took 60+ pictures of all angles of the car. This is a great opportunity to get into a rare, collectible, low-mileage, fully documented, 1-OWNER wood panel wagon at an affordable price. Anyone is welcome to come and inspect the car in Dover, NJ before the auction ends. If you have any questions don't hesitate to ask. It recently passed NJ state inspection, and it's valid until Feb. 2017. NJ buyers will be required to pay 7% NJ state sales tax. The closest airport is in Newark, NJ if you'd like to fly in and drive home! Thanks for looking and good luck bidding on this BEAUTIFUL & unique Roadmaster Estate Wagon!
