Vehicle Detail
I am a huge Trail 70 fan. I enjoy restoring and riding them but I can't keep them all. I'm letting this K1 go at no reserve as I think the pictures speak for the bike. This has been one of my favorite CT70's. I've had it 3 years and ridden it approximately 450 miles. I ride them on the streets around my neighborhood and to the store for fun. This is a turn-key bike. It needs nothing and everything works. I got this bike from the original owner in California. It was very clean and original with low miles but had not been ridden much in recent years and needed some TLC. The handle bars were bent which I found strange given the rest of the bike was so straight so I put a set of CHP bars on it. The seat had been ripped from things in the previous owners garage getting set on top of it and that is why I have a reproduction seat on it. I also installed the CHP carburetor because this is a rider and I like the reliability of the CHP carb. It works great right out of the box and does not leak fuel. I have installed a sealed battery, new fuel lines, air cleaner, intake gaskets, rebuilt the throttle assembly, installed new sheathing over the exterior wiring, used new grommets, replaced the kick-shaft seal, the shift-shaft seal, new grips, new factory Honda rear brake cable, new sealed wheel bearings, newer exhaust, and so on. Basically, I went through the entire bike to make it a perfect rider. It starts up on the first kick and everything works. The horn, the high beam, the brake lights, all of it. It does not leak oil. It does not smoke. It shifts perfectly. The engine is tight and has limited valve train noise. It's a really great K1. The ignition key fits the helmet lock and I have 2 factory cut NOS keys as spares. I have a clear Arizona title for the bike and it can be registered and titled in any state easily. I'm sure I have done more to the bike that what I listed here. Frame Number:CT70-2001390 Engine Number:CT70E-201172 This is the original engine. I did remove it from the bike when I first got it to install a new factory Honda ignition coil (something I forgot above) and to clean the bike completely. I'm certain it had not been out before and the numbers match. Please ask me any questions via email response to this auction and I will get back to you. I will work with the buyer on shipping. I have shipped a few CT70's and can help if needed.
