For Sale: Flame Red 1997 Jeep Wrangler SE TJ Customized. This Jeep has a professional expensive Engine/Drivetrain swap. Jeep had 116,000 at time of swap 3 years ago. Was originally a 4cyl 5 speed jeep but converted to a vortec 4.3 V-6 and 700R-4 auto transmission. Jeep has been lifted with tons of custom upgrades. Used the Jeep as a weekend/ nice day driver. Never seen mud, off roading, or rock climbing. Approximately 4K miles since Jeep was converted. Selling due to just bought a new JK Jeep. Brakes have about 1k miles on them. Custom Digital gauges with tach. Have rear seat along with seatbelts to turn back into normal suv style. Since the stock style center console and gear shifter was used, the gear selector is off and only goes into park/neutral/drive OD. Would have to remove console to get lower gears due to 700R trans has longer shifting range (could also change to hurst type shifter with cable linkage). Jeep was used as a driver on street and highway so didn't need lower range gears. Tires and wheels were new at time swap and have about 4K miles on them. Still good tread. Exhaust is kinda loud since it has headers and dual side exhaust. This Jeep looks and runs great and has tons of power. Engine stays cool and doesn't get over 180. This is no amateur jeep build. Buyer responsible for pickup/delivery. Drivetrain: Jeep now features a Chevrolet vortec 4.3 V-6 engine, 700R-4 auto transmission, and NP231 transfer case all donated by a 1991 Chevrolet S-10 Blazer. Engine at time of swap was a remanufactured motor and had 30xxx miles on it. Transmission and transfer case was also rebuild at same time. Jeep 4.3 v-6 features new headers, serpentine belt system, new Edelbrock aluminum intake, new billet distributor, Holley carburetor, and aluminum cold air intake. Transmission has new torque convertor, electric lockup overdrive converted to vacuum, and cable kickdown cable. New radiator and fan. Advance adapters engine mounts. Custom transmission skid plate. Expensive custom Titton Driveshafts. Loud true dual side exhaust. Power steering/ Brakes. Body: 1997 Jeep original flame red paint with minor wear and tear. Few dents on driver's side door and hood (can be easily removed by paintless dent remover). No rust or faded paint/clear. Overall body is in good to great condition. Body tub under side has been undercoated. Diamond plate looking body armor all around. Matching black tube front rear bumpers. Best top upper half sliding glass doors. Best top truck style canvas top (multi position top has flip up sun roof, rear wind screen, or removable). Four KC lights. Black grill inserts. Black metal hood louver insert.
