Vehicle Detail
Beautiful, clean silver Boxster convertible with black leather interior, and black top. Paint is glossy and has no scratches to speak of, and has minor rock chips from normal driving over 17 years that have been touch up as needed, but are hardly noticeable. Leather interior is in terrific shape, and shows very little wear, and the top is in very good condition. This car has a little over 70,000 original miles, and runs like a dream. It has a lot of torque, is very quick and a lot of fun to go through the flawlessly shifting 5-speed manual transmission. The exhaust note reminds you that you are driving a sports car! I bought the car from a friend over the winter, and have done a bunch of upgrades and maintenance improvements as follow: Replaced the Intermediate Shaft Bearing (IMS) which cost over $2,500. Please Google the early Boxsters and look up IMS....you definitely want to find a vehicle that has had this work done, or you risk having your engine blow.....it's not if, but when it will happen according to what I read, so I went ahead and had it replaced as a preventative measure. Had a new clutch installed, and new front brakes put on. Had the cables that help the automatic convertible top go up and down replaced, and have added a new Bluetooth stereo system so that I could play music from my smartphone, and have hands-free connectivity to my phone calls. This car has flawless chrome wheels, and relatively new low-profile tires with lots of miles left on them. The only challenge with the low-profile tires (lower than from the factory) is that the speedometer reads about 3 miles faster than you are really going at low speeds, and 5mph at highway speeds (if the car says you are doing 75, your are doing 70ish). This car is a blast to drive and I've used it a lot this summer for my work commute, but have a child about to start driving, and need the room in the garage for a car for her (and while she'd love this to be her first car....not going to happen!). It came with an extra top and Porsche floor mats, which I'll pass on to the new owner. Please feel free to call me with any questions. My name is Jerry and my cell phone is 479-685-1082. Thanks!
