2005 VW Beetle convertible, GL, Leather, all Power. 2.0L, 4 cyl. ( BEV, the perferred one ) Auto, 90K miles, Clean NY Title. The car has some bumps and bruises on the exterior but the interior is nice, The car has no rust and the top is very good. Just shy of 5K was spent on a trans rebuild back when the car had 76,000 miles but has since developed another problem. The fuse for the trans and the fuse for the power top both blow as soon as they see power. This may or may not be a related problem. The car starts and moves forward and reverse but there is no indication of gear selection on the instrument cluster and the car is in some type of limp mode that does not allow it to shift. The Probem could be a trans control module ? Wiring harness? or a failed connection. I am not sure and the car is being sold as is. The car will need a windshield and a couple of window regulators. The motor runs great, the top is near perfect and the interior will clean up nice. NADA average trade $4500, Clean Retail over 7K. We have other VW's but no one in the family seems to have any interest in this car so it is time for it to go.
