Vehicle Detail

4.2L 1995 Range Rover County LWB 89K Original Miles No Reserve! Overview: This is an AWESOME Range Rover Classic. She has been lovingly owned and continually overhauled in its life of enthusiast stewardship. Most recently, she has belonged to a client in San Diego where it was used exclusively as a seasonal summer-home excursion coach. She drives brilliantly and now, with it having gone through my rigorous service campaign she is going to make someone an excellent new vehicle. Service History: As a Land Rover technician I always use the best genuine parts and expert skill with their fitment. Service means reliability. Reliability is your key to long-term product enjoyment. Anyone who has a Land Rover will tell you the same, and perhaps you already have a few yourself and understand this already. As a fellow collector, then as a technician, in addition to the insights which come from my RACING Range Rover Classics, the following is my signature service list which I believe to be the key to your long-term love affair with a vehicle such as this. Why? I want you to have a GREAT TRUCK. Complete head gasket service including: cooling system fluid flush and renewal, head gasket renewal, head stretch bolt renewal, intake resealed, valve covers resealed, exhaust system resealed, engine oil and GENUINE filter renewed. $2250 value90K mile interval service including: genuine spark plugs, STI spark plug wires, genuine air element, new cap/rotor/coil, Differential fluids renewed, swivel service, transfer case fluid renewed, transmission fluid renewed, fuel filter renewed, all safety components inspected and adjusted to factory spec. $895 valueOME 2” Coil Spring Conversion with Bilstein Shocks. $1350 valueNewly recored Radiator. $6500 valueNewly fitted GENUINE Water pump and fan clutch. $750Brand New GENUINE brake pads $650 valueRebuilt Factory Alternator $500 valueNewly Fitted GENUINE fuel pump fitted. $550 valueAC System Service $450 valueBrand New Headliner Installed $400 valueConcourse Quality Vehicle Detail. $400 valueFull Size Wilderness Roof Rack with Spare Relocation and lock kit & IPF Spot Lights $1500Brand New Battery $100 valueNewly Fitted BFG AT 245/75/16’s fitted all around. $1000 valueJust passed new stringent California “Star-Smog” certification requirements. 89K original miles; title in hand. Operation and Performance: This truck fires right up and the fully serviced 4.2L V8 roars to life. She has EXCELLENT excelleration. This truck surges onto the motorways with TOTAL CONFIDENCE and has no hesitation, stumbles, ticks, overheating issues, or transmission slippage – it is velvet smooth shifting throughout the power-band both up and down. As you get past 75mph, you will feel and hear wind resistance in the full sized roof rack, as well as tread rumble from the BFG’s – this is typical of for equipment like this. Additionally, for those unfamiliar with the experience of driving a lifted Rover, this is the threshold where you will need to compensate for heavier side winds. Assisting the efforts here are Old Man Emu coil springs paired with Bilstein shock absorbers up front and new OEM shocks in the read. She has been tested even this last week with record high temperatures in LA. AC blasting, bumper to bumper traffic. NO overheating, drive-train leaks, or performance issues from this truck. She stops on a DIME and the ABS system is quiet and powerful. All power options work as they should: power seats, windows, head lights, sunroof, safety MFCU’s, and all. All signal lamps and lenses are smoked in Ash-Grey and enhance the look of this vehicle. The IPF fog lights are not wired in but I am providing the harness – your call as to whether or not to fit through the roof, or quick release through the sunroof. The overhauled AC works brilliantly and the heat is perfect without any offending smells inside the cabin. That said, this is also A NON SMOKER VEHICLE and with its recent upholstery service and professional detail, she still smells like a new car. The Saddle leather interior is one of the nicest I have seen – plush and smooth – even with the two tone stitching nice and bright. The OEM Audio system in this truck is AMAZING. I’m blown away at the power and clarity of the sound and I know you will be too – and YES – the subwoofer sounds and works as it should with no huff or rattle. Aesthetics, Chassis & Coachwork: If you have lusted after a Range Rover Classic to take into the great outdoors – particularly a 95 LWB model – this one is sure to please. She is exceptionally clean and the underbody environment is actually one of the finest I have ever seen – EVEN BY CALIFORNIA STANDARDS. The Beluga Black paint shines up amazing – it is rich and glossy – but she is not immune to what I would consider standard parking lot dings, dents and scratches. This is a truck to feel good about – but not lose sleep about! As I said earlier, the cabin is clean and bright and the Saddle coloured interior is about as timeless as you could hope for – in both condition and class. The carpets are plush and clean and the newly fitted Lloyds Mats are colour correct and soft. The Relocated spare tire is a nice touch as it frees up more room inside the loadspace area – for gear that you might want in a more protected locale. Take care to note the the highlighted pictures of the door sills, arches, jambs, bulkhead and frame rails and x-members. These are all critical areas for corrosion on the Range Rover Classics and they are present here in near perfect condition. The vehicle is proudly drip free and you should consider it nice driveway safe! To recap, this is a straight, rot free, clean and comfortable Range Rover that I would be otherwise proud to own. Rebuilt/Salvage/Accident History Vehicles: More Defenders and Series Rovers are out there nowadays with branded titles of all sorts. Why? Plain and simple: There are vintages and models WORTH keeping on the road because of rarity and more times than not - minimal damage. In the case of this 95 we have a right hand side-swipe style impact that was completely superficial – but in the eye’s of KKB value VS. insurance company claims the battle nearly always goes ill. THANKFULLY this truck was kept by the owner and professionally repaired. She actually owes her appearance to the respray it received and there are no door/panel function alignment issues at all. It was re-issued a “Rebuilt” title which means it has had a thorough state sanctioned inspection – to insure the integrity of all safety systems and body/chassis integrity. It is a curious point that many of these vehicles are better off than “Clear” title vehicles as construction standards are more closely observed! If you have been put off by the sky-rocketing costs of owning an exceptional, low-mile 1995 LWB, then this is your opportunity to go for the gold. Despite this being the closest cousin in fit, finish, and performance to a $27K+ 95LWB I sold a few months ago, she will no doubt be within the reach of us mortals because of the accident history (and this one actually has several thousand less miles!). The Carfax is available upon request. Purchasing, Perspective & Why Buy From Me: Please read my outstanding feedback from folks like you! No one puts a Land Rover together better than me, PERIOD. It’s the vehicle I drive, and the vehicle I RACE. Nearly two decades of Rover ownership and service are poured into every Rover that I see into new hands. All too common are sales from the brokerage houses where a vehicle will receive a detail service and nothing else. Leaving maintenance work for the pleasure of the new owner; often time’s immediately following reception of the vehicle. Beware of any vintage Rover that does not share the same service points as the ones I advertise with my trucks. They are ESSENTIAL for long term reliability and any Rover without these services are ticking time bombs. I am not a Land Rover tech that drives home in a Honda Civic. I come from a long line of British Car technicians and Live, Breathe and even RACE the green oval. I understand ALL of your concerns and needs and do my best to ensure that you will be happy based on a simple, yet powerful concept: DOES THIS VEHICLE MAKE ME HAPPY? WOULD I PUT MY WIFE AND BABY IN IT? WOULD I LOVE TO HAVE IT? The answer is always yes. And that’s when I know they are ready. I care. I know you do, too. Vehicles that I see off not only have domestic endpoints, they go to the farthest reaches of the planet. They have gone to Europe, Asia, The South Pacific, Central America and currently, a client recently purchased a trail-ready 88 RRC and is en route to Tierra Del Fuego after I picked him up in the vehicle at LAX when he flew in to receive it! The point here is, I believe in each and every vehicle that I usher in to new ownership. When you browse the feedback from my recent vehicle sales, I’m sure you’ll be impressed. I have A LOT of copy-cats out there. If you aren’t buying one from me… its, well, NOT from me even though other sellers go so far as to “cut-n-paste” my listings!!! While these vehicles are all totally looked after, they are not immune to future service needs and flaws. They are used vehicles and normal flaws and wear should be expected as the vast majority of them are pushing 20+ years old. It is not possible to discuss every nut and bolt, but I have done my best to list and discuss what would matter to ME. Let me know what matters TO YOU. Whilst every effort has been made to reverse the clock in terms of cleanliness, you will still see the evidence of a life spent in the great out doors and enjoyed by enthusiast families. There is not ANYTHING that concerns me here about this truck; if there was, I would tell you. I invite you to ask ANY AND ALL QUESTIONS NOW! There are no queries too obscure; your satisfaction is the goal here. Additionally, eBay offers a 3rd party inspection service to verify ALL of your acquisition needs IN PERSON. Purchase of the vehicle = SATISFACTION. Once this auction is over, the winning bid and purchase imply that satisfaction has been achieved and will be understood as such. There are no warranties offered here, but that said, there is always an unspoken “hand-shake” warranty meaning that should something fail within a reasonable amount of time – say a hose, a coil pack, a distributor, blower motors, an alternator, a switch, on and on, – I will be happy to send you what I have available at that time. This is a NO RESERVE AUCTION so you are bidding to win! Please make sure that you bid ONLY what you are prepared to pay. This means, when the auction is over, and the winning bid is placed, this becomes THE SALE PRICE of the vehicle. Under no circumstances does it open the door to negotiate or back out of your commitment. The people bidding for this vehicle actually want it. Do not spoil their chances at ownership by arm-chair bidding. Yes, everyone joins eBay at some point, and there is no prejudice against lower transaction numbers here – HOWEVER – if I suspect and/or become aware of any insincerity on the part of said bidder, I reserve the right to cancel all bids from and block that insincere bidder from this auction. Completion of this transaction is fairly straight forward. Once the auction is over, I will be contacting the winner immediately and we can discuss the easiest way to finalize the transition. Who is this truck for: This is the 95 LWB for someone looking to get into their “dream truck” at what will no doubt be a fantastic price! She is everything you want – clean, serviced, distinctive, reliable and BUILT. Tastefully so. Now the fun is up to you – Sliders? Lockers? Armor? Recovery gear? Non-ABS conversion? 5-Speed conversion??? The options are endless to make your mark on this great blank canvas. As the fall rallies quickly approach, this is your chance to get into a turn-key head-turning truck. She could also be a first car, continue life as a summer-fun car, or prepare to do battle with anything old-man-winter has in store. She’ll be yours to enjoy – of that I’m sure. Good luck and Happy Rovering!!! On Jul-31-15 at 17:28:02 PDT, seller added the following information: yes yes, a few of you have already asked... the recored radiator is a $650 value and not a $6500 value!!!
