The stated auction terms must be observed to maintain this guarantee. This is a great looking 1984 Porsche 944. The last owner purchased this car in July 2000, and the present odometer reading is 34,843 miles. We haven’t had one of these cars in at least ten years, and this one is in great shape considering its age. The title is clean and clear. I’m not as familiar with a vintage Porsche as an enthusiast might be, so I don’t know what if any issues are common to the 944’s, but we looked it over and I drove this car around for some errands and I’ll tell you everything we know about it: Some of the gauges don’t register, but the odometer does work, as does the speedometer although the cable probably needs lubrication because the needle flutters. The radio doesn't come one, but the a/c and fans are working. The power windows and sunroof are working properly. This 944 runs excellent. The engine runs very strong. There aren’t any noises, smoke or other problems and the idle is smooth and steady. The transmission shifts crisply and the clutch engages smoothly with lots of grab. The whole driveline feels great and I don’t see any issues with the drivability of this car at all. The matching set of tires and brake pads are all showing lots of life. The oil and filter and the air filter were changed this week. I don’t see any reason why this Porsche couldn’t be a daily driver right now. This car has a great looking silver exterior. It was completely refinished at some point, so there are only some minor nicks and dings. It wasn’t a Porsche paint job, but it looks good. The paint is still very glossy over the entire body. This is a very presentable looking car that does look really nice. The interior is in good shape. The seats are in excellent condition, with just one small cut on the driver seat bottom at a seam. The carpeting is clean, fluffy and in great condition. There are some dash pad cracks and some loose vinyl trim at the back edge of the headliner. The door panels are in great shape, and the rest of the interior is pretty intact. This appears to have been a non-smoker owned vehicle, and there aren’t any interior odors. Although the owner says the mileage is correct and the title does too, we can’t verify the mileage of a vehicle of this age. However, this car is exempt from odometer disclosure as are all vehicles over ten years of age. This isn’t a show car, it is a nice solid classic car, which can be driven and used right away. This I would feel comfortable jumping in and driving this Porsche anywhere. We have the clear title in hand. NOTE: We will be closed for vacation from August 10 - 17, and vehicles will be held for pickup until August 17th at no charge. We do not accept trade ins. Any guarantee offer for this vehicle will be voided if payments are not made according to terms. WARRANTY: This vehicle will be sold AS-IS with no warranty expressed or implied by the seller. However, the buyer will be offered the option to purchase an additional Extended Service Warranty for all applicable vehicles. The title is guaranteed to be free and clear. REGISTRATION, TITLES & FEES: Out of state purchasers do not pay any Pennsylvania sales tax. A $60 fee will be added to the final sale price of each online transaction, which will cover document fees and preparation, notarizations, and courier costs. Temporary Transit Tags are available through the state of PA for $60, which will provide valid registration for a period of 30 days. In order to obtain this tag, please provide proof of insurance for any vehicle that you presently own. Titles are available to the buyer immediately upon full irrevocable payment, which is performed by bank wire transfer or cash in person. Otherwise, the title will be sent to you after your payments have cleared our bank. Occasionally, a title is still being processed by the state and we will issue free temporary registration until the title is received. All vehicles we sell on eBay are stored in a separate secured facility and we require that all vehicles be picked up within ten days of auction completion. Storage charges after ten days will be charged at $15/day for cars, and more for trucks and larger vehicles depending on size. (Storage charges will not apply to vehicles scheduled for pickup by a transporter). We will try to exercise some flexibility to accommodate special requests regarding our terms, if they are placed before the auction ends. We also sell vehicles locally and reserve the right to cancel this auction at any time.
