Vehicle Detail
The story behind this Bronco: I bought it as a non running project. Because I was building a 351 for another Bronco I own, I figured this Bronco would be a good use for the 302 I was taking out of the Bronco the 351 was going into. The 302 that came out of the other Bronco and is now in this one is a known good engine. I have owned the Bronco it came out of for 16 years and put approximately 25,000 miles on it before pulling the 302 out. Since I have swapped in the 302, I have gotten this Bronco up and running, and have driven it a bit. There is a runability issue where it randomly stalls out for some reason. I have spent some time trouble shooting the issue without luck. My next step is to replace the distributor, but I have not gotten around to doing so as of this listing. In addition to the runability issue, the brakes need to be adjusted and bled, the steering linkage needs work, and the auxiliary gas tanks need to be hooked up (needs a new switching valve) While this is a running vehicle, it does need some work before it is completely road worthy as you can see. I am happy to discuss fixing these issues prior to the buyer taking delivery for a mutually agreeable final cost. I have been an Early Bronco owner for 16 years and currently have four more in addition to this one. Like most car guys, too many projects & too little time. Hence the reason this one is up for sale. Bronco does have some rust issues from spending parts of its life in San Diego. Bottom of the tailgate, quarter panel seams, and the inner fenders at the quarter panels have some rust bubbling. Additionally, the front floor plans need to be replaced and are the worst of the rust situation Good things: Bronco has been completely rewired, has a groovy wooden dash overlay, has power steering, a small lift, three gas tanks (yes three!), and high bucket seats. Overall, a solid start to a nice offroad or camping vehicle. I would not suggest this Bronco if you are looking to restore it to a stock uncut example. It really seems to me that you cold find a better starting point for that type of restoration than this one. This one has been taken off road extensively over the course of its life and would be a good candidate for a more modified Bronco. Bronco is located in Stockton, CA I am willing to meet shipping companies for pickup, but you will need to coordinate all shipping matters. Bronco will obviously need to be paid for in full prior to pick-up.
