1982 BMW 320i in near perfect showroom condition… This car was in storage for 23 years in a moving warehouse. The orginal owner was family of my wife. The owner, whose name is on the plaque above glove box, bought the car at the factory in Munich where he was working at the time. He was transferred back to the States and brought the car back. He moved to London and the car was placed in storage where it sat for 23 years. His son's had no interest in the car and it was passed on to me. I picked the car up from the warehouse in Houston and could quickly see it was in amazing condition. Having been stored that long I spent 6 months bringing the car back to life. The engine was taken down to long block and everything that was rubber was replaced. I bead blasted most of the engine parts and cleaned each nut and bolt. The underside of the car is amazing and looks new. Original shocks and exhaust. I had the gas tank boiled, cleaned and painted. Injectors are new as are plugs, wires, radiator, hoses, battery. Fuel distributor was sent off and rebuilt, the car started on the first attempt and still does to this day. The majority of my time was spent detailing the car. It did have one scratch on the drivers side rear quarter panel that was repaired 100%. The original radio works perfectly. I sold the car once when I moved to Toronto from San Antonio, with the worst case of sellers regret I ended up buying the car back and paid twice what I sold it for 1.5 years later. This car is simply stunning and I know the complete history of the car from new. The person who bought the car from added the Alpina wheels but I still have the original wheels. Both sets of wheels have new tires. I also have the orginal valve cover as well. You will not find a cleaner one, period, no exception. The car won best in class, most original at a Chicago car show. It has been stored in my garage and rarely is driven and if it is I have checked the weather report, it never sees rain. I am not an expert at writting a car ad, as I am sure you know by now after reading this. If you have any questions please ask. If you have always wanted an e21 but could not find one in a condition acceptable to you, look no further. I drive the car to the dealer once in a while and the car draws crowd each time.
