I got this car from a friend a few years ago with intensions to replace the cylinder head and driving it for a while. As with far too many of my intensions; it hasn't happened. I need the space and am trying to put these vehicles in the hands of people who will enjoy their projects and put them back on the road. The front camshaft cap bolts backed out while he was driving it, the cap came loose and got between the crankshaft gear and the timing chain. Result?? It quit running and bent some valves. He got another head with valves for it; it is in the front floor board. The head with bent valves is in the trunk along with all the parts he removed to remove the old head. The pistons and block were not damaged when the valves hit. You may want to do a complete engine overhaul, but only because it's been sitting since 2009. It was running good before the cam cap came loose. The right front fender is bent by the headlight. The right front fender also shows a couple of dents from hail. The clear coat is coming off of the hood. The tan seats are starting to crack and the dash is cracked. I will gladly answer any questions you may have; but please be patient with me. The tires are Cooper and looked GREAT in 2009. I searched for just a cylinder head and found that they are HIGH! With that in mind I may be interested in parting it out.
