I bought this directly from View Askew (Kevin Smith's production company) about a decade ago. The van is featured prominently in the movie Jay and Silent Bob Strike Back in the "Scoobie Doo" scene as the Mystery Machine van that picks up a hitch-hiking Jay and Silent Bob. The film was shot in California (I have the original lot movie papers for the vehicle) and afterwards Smith had it shipped to his home-base of New Jersey. I picked it up and drove it back across the country to Washington State, and currently have it in storage just across the border in Vancouver, Canada. The vehicle has been in storage for a decade so it'll take some mechanical work to get it back in running order. As this vehicle has great film authenticity, it would be a great project vehicle for someone to restore to the classic Mystery Machine look. It comes with great tales of Jay and Silent Bob once riding in the back with a Mystery solving dog.
