Hello, I am selling my 1974 Dodge Monaco 4 door hardtop. This car runs and drives and only needs a few small things to be complete. It has always started for me reliably. I purchased this from the 2nd owner with 42,500 miles. It rides great and stops well. Just about everything works. I am selling because i have too many projects. The car had a 400 engine in it when i got it and wasn't running, i do not have the original engine anymore. The 440 is out of a 1978 Dodge full size Motorhome. It has a small skid plate added to the car's original C-body oilpan. It is a 440-3 Which designates it as the industrial 440. It runs fine and moves the car about well. Has good oil pressure. The original transmission was rebuilt and has a re-manufactured torque converter. The following parts are also new: The driveshaft has new U-joints and has been freshly balanced. (5) new Firestone Transforce AT 235/75 15's Wheels were sanded and repainted semi-gloss black. New Brakes all around-- New Rotors and Drums, not re-ground. New calipers, pads, shoes, rubber lines, metal lines, master cylinder and wheel cylinders. New Front wheel bearings New rear axle bearings and seals. New Dual exhaust with crossover pipe and flow-pro turbo mufflers. Fully Welded, contoured to body. was $750 New Shock Absorbers, all around, overloads at rear for increased capacity. New Torsion bars from FirmFeel.com, 1.12" diameter New Leaf Springs, U bolts and Bushings from EatonDetroitSpring.com New Fuel tank, and Stainless steel fuel sending unit. New Fuel line from front to back. New Starter, Alternator, Battery, Battery Cables, Starter Relay, Ignition Box, Voltage Regulator etc. New Blower Motor 2,000 miles on all the work. Rebuilt certified speedometer from a police monaco, the original speedometer is included. The lower 5" of the body is black paintable undercoating, i like the look and it hides a couple small patches on the lower quarters. The patches were installed with 3M bonding adhesive. See pics, they are holding up well. This is pretty much the only rust on the car. There are some holes in the bottom of the passengers fender, also see pic. What it needs: The front seat needs to be recovered. The speedometer lens needs to be installed. The passenger's seatbelt will not extend, and therefor isnt useable. Driver's works. The rear parking brake cables were siezed and not replaced so there is no parking brake right now. The glove box latch won't stay shut, needs a different latch. There is a small oil leak (a few drops where you park it.) Seems like the rear main. If you have any questions about the car, feel free to ask. All of these parts have been replaced on the car already, and again these are EXTRAS. I am also including a pair of spare headlight bezels. On Jul-11-15 at 18:07:58 PDT, seller added the following information: 440 engine has about 89,000 miles, was removed from a motorhome with light body damage. Timing chain has been replaced, Carburetor is a rebuilt Thermoquad, New water pump, fan clutch and hoses.
